Prince was really a good fit back then but for me Dumars shouldnt have passed up that opportunity to draft talent. We cant consider Okur as a good pick. He is just big and has shooting range but never a productive center. he is more of a reliever in the Pistons line up. Utah thought he would be a legitimate center and paid big bucks to that guy plus gave him the minutes however he didnt deliver what was expected of him. tama lang na nasa second round sya ng draft.
now fast forward 2011..Detroit is hampered by leadership problems and are loaded with players who are grossly overpaid (Gordon, Villanueva, Rip)
hehehe if they could have drafted Wade before maybe now they have LBJ and Bosh too...
this is how it went back then:
Cleveland - LeBron James, SVSM HS
Detroit - Darko Milicic, Serbia
Denver - Carmelo Anthony, Syracuse
Toronto - Chris Bosh, Georgia Tech
Miami - Dwyane Wade, Marquette
L.A. Clippers - Chris Kaman, Central Michigan
Chicago - Kirk Hinrich, Kansas
Milwaukee - T.J. Ford, Texas
New York - Mike Sweetney, Georgetown
Washington - Jarvis Hayes, Georgia
Golden State - Mickael Pietrus, France
Seattle - Nick Collison, Kansas
Memphis - Marcus Banks (to Boston)
