I think Carter know that coming to Dallas was not about stealing the spotlight from Dirk, I think he comes there to have a ring once and for all. He knows what he's role is and I trust Coach Rick will do jsut fine with Carter on their line-up. But if he does not change and steal the spotlight from Dirk, then the Mavs are doomed. ;)

kung wala sila this season, rudy fernandez would be suitable replacements.

Carter will probably play just just 20-25 mins a game so the "damage" won't be too bad. The Delonte signing was good though, he's a defensive minded guard who can guard both PG/SG positons.

The Mavs didn't do that badly this offseason. While they don't exactly look like contenders this year, nobody thought that they were contenders last year either.

Si kenyon martin nattangap na nya na next year pa balik nya after the china league season is over.

Delonte West is done. Laging injured yan, and not a physical player, takot to mix up inside unlike Barrea.

VC will just shoot treys if he bricks back to the bench :D

Delonte will just spell Kidd and will rotate behind terry also.

The big dilemma of the Lakers would be to chase only one of the two in CP3 and Superman. They need to do that now because by next year those two will be up for grabs for the teams that have the highest cap space...something the Lakers do not have.

If they trade for Paul then they must have a lot of faith in Bynum to anchor the defense and offense in the paint. If they trade for Howard it's a forgone conclusion that they won't be contending this for the trophy this year. They lack the pieces to give support to Howard and Kobe. The frontline of Pau, Lamar and Bynum will be history.

IMHO I prefer the CP3 trade for them than Howard but if they can get both then why not..

kaya lang both cp3 and dh12 ay may listahan ng preferred destination. kahit pa gano kataas ang cap space ng isang team kung ayaw naman nila dun wala din.

** LAC trading away Eric Gordon for CP3 ..... Chris Paul is a superstar, but Eric Gordon has been a very good complement to Griffin - both with inhuman hops & still approaching their prime, growing together.

For LAC's sake, they better contend soon ..... as Chris Paul will likely walk-away after 2 years.

** Given the circumstances, still a decent trade for NOH ..... though definitely not as good as the 1st proposed trade that was shotdown by Stern.

So the LAC will have a combo guard in their starting lineup. Paul would be the 1 guard but who would be the 2 guard? Billups or Mo? Man they're loaded with guards.

Randy Foye (years ago was touted as Dwayne Wade 2.0) ..... Mo Williams is more of a combo-guard than a true PG.

Recent signee Caron Butler can play some SG as well.

I would have liked Eric Gordon kept in LAC ...... LAC better hope that they contend deep soon.

I like the bulls signing R.Hmilton. They really need a backup scorer for D.Rose. Now they have R.Hamilton to carry some of the scoring behind Rose and Boozer/Deng.

"I knew we were doing the best thing for New Orleans and that was my job," Stern said. "You have to stick with what you think was right. I must confess it wasn't a lot of fun, but I don't get paid to have fun."

Stern said he never allowed other owners' opinions or considerations of large and small markets to determine where Paul, one of the NBA's biggest stars, would end up. He said his only focus was on getting the best deal for the Hornets.

Tsk tsk. Kesa sa ngayon na gordon, kaman at aminu.

I for one think that Clippers deal is a much better deal than the earlier one with the Lakers. It makes much better sense, rebuilding-wise. The unprotected 1st rd pick from Minnesota is huge because it gives them a pretty good chance of landing top tier talent (Anthony Davis, Harrison Barnes, Andre Drummond) in next year's draft. I think it's better to be a bad team with a lot of assets and cap space than a mediocre one (with LAL-HOU deal) with few tradeable assets and vey little cap flexibility.

If they dealt for Scola-Martin , they would've been guaranteed to barely make the playoffs or lose badly in the 1st rd. in the next few years. With the Clippers deal, they will undoubtedly be awful this year, but they will have a chance to acquire a potentially franchise changing player(or two) next year while maintaining the team's cap flexibility.
