Between Scola and Kaman I'd take Scola any day. On the decline na yang is Kaman. Nasira pa tuhod just recently. Scola gives you the toughness that you need for the playoffs.

So the LAC will have a combo guard in their starting lineup. Paul would be the 1 guard but who would be the 2 guard? Billups or Mo? Man they're loaded with guards.

parang MN lang sila ngayon ano? ;D

I for one think that Clippers deal is a much better deal than the earlier one with the Lakers. It makes much better sense, rebuilding-wise. The unprotected 1st rd pick from Minnesota is huge because it gives them a pretty good chance of landing top tier talent (Anthony Davis, Harrison Barnes, Andre Drummond) in next year's draft. I think it's better to be a bad team with a lot of assets and cap space than a mediocre one (with LAL-HOU deal) with few tradeable assets and vey little cap flexibility.

If they dealt for Scola-Martin , they would've been guaranteed to barely make the playoffs or lose badly in the 1st rd. in the next few years. With the Clippers deal, they will undoubtedly be awful this year, but they will have a chance to acquire a potentially franchise changing player(or two) next year while maintaining the team's cap flexibility.

agreed.

on the flipside however, there's a very real risk involved that cp3 will only be a 'rental' player.but this makes for an exciting Clips team (has anybody said that in recent memory?) for this year at least.

cp3 and BG?deymn. ;D

if LAC will reach playoffs.. why not stay? i mean, cp3 + BG + another talent.. pwedeng maging contender. they have young legs...

im sure he was gunning to be in one of the major markets.sure he got LA,but not the version that he initially hoped for. ;D

sayang lang pinamigay nila yung 1st rd choice from MN.e for sure, thanks to david kahn, the clips will end up in the lottery, again. :D

Jamal Crawford to sign with Blazers for one year $5m

Is it now safe to expect who'll be in the next injury list? :'(
Not that I'm wishing for it but the Blazers had become too predictably cursed.

Is Chris Paul gonna be happy with the Clippers?
He obviously wants to join the Knicks and could be contented playing along Kobe with the Lakers  but the NBA isnt the PBA, the commisioner has the last say regarding trades.

not unless he's a free agent he can sign anywhere he wants.

i think kaya lang din naman kaya mag veto ng trade yung nba coz the league owns the hornets, kung hindi i doubt they can stop it.

He will be when the season starts. He'll be happy lobing a pass to Jordan or Blake. Or kicking out to mister "Big shot" for the long bomb.

I'm also against CP3 going to the Lakers, at least, at the moment. Small market teams need to survive. To do so, they should have big name players. If CP3 plays for the Lakers, all other big name players would seek big market teams. Baka mawala na yung ibang teams dahil sa pagkalugi.

Besides, can't these big name superstars carry a team? Whatever happened to pride and glory? Just look at James, Wade and Bosh. Beaten by a bunch of oldies led by lanky German.

Showtime for the Clippers wont be enough to make CP3 happy.
They have to start winning specially in close crucial stages of the game w/c is the basic characteristics of a real contender.

knowing kobe as long as he is okay physically, the divorce wont affect his game.

time for kim kardashian to step in. lol. even if vanessa took half his fortune he'd still be richer than lamar.  ;D

Well, as far as LAkers signing goes, getting Kapono and Josh McRoberts were actually decent. They get a big, sorta athletic body in McRoberts that can be relied on to run the break and put back some deuce near the rim and opposing teams will have to lay off the LAkers bigs and Kobe down low unless they want to get punished with threes. And I hope their rookie, Goudelock makes the team. He's got mad range!

Howard wanting the Nets? Smokescreen if you ask me. Who wants to play in New Jersey? Or Brooklyn? Unless soon-to-be Russian prez Prokhorov included unlimited supplies of Russian "ladies" as part of the deal, eh? And who doesn't want to come to the LAkers? Superstar big men and LAkers history is a constant. Oh, make that superstar big men, LAkers history and a championship is a constant.

exactly. team got zero history and who else is there aside from deron williams? hehe.
