ang criticism naman kay Kobe, he wouldn't have won those championships without Shaq (2000, 2001, 2002)

and Pau Gasol (2009, 2010)

and often accused as a ballhog who would often go away from the offense to pad his stats

Ahh the old debate of Kobe riding Shaq's coattails. Then when Kobe won two without the big guy, they say it was because he had Pau.

This argument and any such kind is moot because of the word "team"

Using the same argument, can we not say that Shaq could not have won in LA without Kobe? Or that Pau wasn't a winner without Kobe?

The ballhog thing. Meh. So he shoots a lot. He's his own man. Drives coaches crazy with his approach. You say "fcuk Kobe! All he does is shoot!"

Then he flashes the five rings on you and says "talk to the rings" Hard to argue with that, considering he just made folks admit that "ballhogs" can exactly be real winners afterall.

You say "Screw you, Kobe! There is no 'I' in T-E-A-M" Then he fires back, there is in W-I-N. And also in R-I-N-G-S.

Then you say "Fcuk you, Battousai!" Kobe just made your "team" reasoning crap.

Then I reply "Coz he's had success at success at success"

Then Kanye asks "What the fcuk is he talking about?"

Kobe says "You're welcome"

pau gasol isn't in the same league as kobe and shaq. he is merely a supporting cast. so the two without shaq makes kobe a legitimate champion twice.

If we get too technical with the word BALLHOG or Bwakaw sa salitang kanto e mas bwakaw daw si Jordan kaysa kay Kobe.

"The number of shots Kobe Bryant and Michael Jordan jacked up on a nightly basis is most accurately viewed on a Per-36 minute basis to allow for a shots-per-minute type comparison. In this regard, Michael Jordan shot more often than Kobe Bryant when he was on the floor:

Field Goal Attempts Per-36 Minutes- Regular Season
Michael Jordan - 21.5
Kobe Bryant - 19.3

In other words, in 36 minutes of playing time Michael Jordan would jack up two more shots than Kobe. In terms of the sheer volume of shots attempted while on the floor, Jordan was the bigger ball hog".

So okay lang maging ballhog. Result - Jordan 6 Rings.  Kobe 5.

i hate whenever someone says [insert NBA superstar here] couldn't have won without [insert NBA superstar here]

pau gasol isn't in the same league as kobe and shaq. he is merely a supporting cast.

tell that to Kobe's haters. Pau Gasol is an all star, not a superstar.

he can't carry a franchise like Shaq, we already saw that in his days with the Memphis Grizzlies.

so the two without shaq makes kobe a legitimate champion twice.

what the hell happened to Kobe's first three championships? he played the no.2 option (sometimes even no.1) during the Lakers' 3 peat from 2000-2002. Shaq couldn't have won those 3 titles if he didn't have Kobe as a teammate.

Kobe is a legitimate 5 time NBA champ, deal with it.

this is an NBA thread, although 2012. we can freely discuss anything NBA related.

old issues will never die as long as there are ignorant and narrow minded haters of NBA teams and superstars.

Miami Heat or LA Lakers, Lebron or Kobe.

before the NBA Finals starts tomorrow, let me add one more thing..

i am rooting for the OKC Thunder to win it all

BUT

if Lebron wins his first championship ring with the Miami Heat, haters should deal with that fact.

I just have to comment on this one, the word "bwakaw" for me means hindi "pumapasa" ng bola. So if one will compare MJ to Kobe, one should check kung mas madami ba "assist" si Kobe kay MJ? I think there is no need to google, because one would already know the answer.  ;D

Go Heat!

We're in the same boat. I like okc to win but if James can make me a believer that's really the pressure on him, prove his naysayers wrong

Too early to assume who's the best player post Kobe. The guy's still playing and Lebron and Durant hasn't proven anything major in terms of winning. On talent alone, as much as I hate to admit, Lebron is better than Kobe and Durant.

If Kobe had won 7 championships and had 0 assists during his career, what then? I'd relate to the assist stat more on point guards rather than "shooting" guards.  ;)

Good spacing and ball movement by the Heat, mukhang naiiwanan ang malalaki ng OKC sa match up.

Fisher showing why he's a veteran of numerous championships. Sayang off ang shooting ng OKC or the game would have been tied up at the moment.
I think Perkins wont be effective in this series as he's too slow to match up with either Haslem, Bosh or Battier who seem to position themselves at the top of the key and just wait for kick outs from a driving LBJ or WADE.

Chalmers and Battier contributing heavily by scoring almost half of MIA's output in the first half.
