Good day mga sirs,

I have a problem with my Measy X6, everytime I turn on the device it always on opens on initial setup screen. Also, the device returns to factory settings.

Thanks in advance.

Question folks. Will the measy x6 work in the US given that it has a power adaptor that says 100-240V input? I was thinking it should work similar to laptops where any input within the range is allowable and will work.

Thanks in advance.

Yes. In fact you can use a universal laptop adaptor (110/220); just set it to 12V and tape to secure; presently, I'm using the cheap 580pesos universal laptop adaptor from CDR-King and I just kept the original for future use.

Laptop adaptors have higher (4.5amp) compared to the usual 1.5-2amp stock power supply that comes with these media players.

It will work. Most  power adaptors are autovolt 100V - 240V and if you closer, its also 50Hz~60Hz. Yung NMT ko na hindi measy, works everytime pag viaje.

Thanks Jim. Just arrived. I will plug it in later when I get to the hotel. Buti pala nadala ko yung X6 na binili ko sayo. Will now have time to catch up on my movie backlog.

Oh well. The X6 actually work but the player have handshake issues with the TV. It will display the Measy screen when it boots up but it will eventually get a no signal screen after. I will have to find out how to fix this. The good news is there are great HD channels on cable. ;D

happens also with me even connected to an AVR. sequence lang sa pag on LCD then AVR then Measy. happens with most HDMI connected devices naman so no biggie. just get to know the quirks of every component you own  ;)

when you connect as USB slave, yung pang printer na cable ba to your PC.

it should at least see the device in disk management, albeit ext3 filesystem will not be recognized so check anong filesystem ng disk?

correct cable, do you see the device in disk manager/disk management of windows? if yes, download Ext2FS to be able to recognize the disk with ext2 partition but do set it at read-only  when it mounts the disk.

how do i revert it back to my previous firware (3.05)? new fw bricked my x6. i can hear the internal HDD spinning, but no LCD display on the front panel and it's not showing any display on the TV. i already pressed the reset button on the back of the x6 to no avail. i also unplugged and re-plugged the power cable and nothing seems to help. i don't know what happened... it says "installation completed" and then turned off. after that, good bye measy x6. need help please. thanks!

Flash it by a stable firmware. http://www.measy.com.cn/download/showdownload46_en.htm

Place this fw in usb flash drive root directory..plug then press n hold reset button. until installation start to run. then release the holding.

i already downloaded the 3.05 FW and transferred it to my USB flash root directory. i plugged the USB flash drive and then the power cable. i pressed and held the reset button for 1-2 minutes (or so) and nothing is happening. i dont see anything on the tv screen or any LCD on the front panel. i already tried the .rar and .img file of the FW in the root directory to no avail. i can just hear the internal HDD spinning. it's connected to my TV using HDMI cable, btw. :(

DId you first hold on the reset button before powering the unit? another thing is you try connect to AV in rather than hdmi in while installing.
