NMT with DLNA support
« on: Sep 09, 2011 at 11:27 AM »
I am not sure if my question is valid.

Can we please list all the locally available NMT players that support DLNA.

Or DLNA is already supported as long as the NMT (by definition) is network-capable?

If my TV support DLNA, does this mean I can play video from my PC through my home network (even without NMT)?

The problem with DLNA is that it's implementation varies from one TV manufacturer to another.

I have a newer Samsung LED TV that has a built-in media player and DLNA (Ethernet). It plays back any MKV that I have on a USB attached drive however once I try to access the same files using DLNA, it only accepts AVI files.

The Popcorn Hour media players have DLNA/UPnP compliant server if that helps.
