Hello! Im trying to play a 96/24 FLAC file from my NMT which is connected via hdmi to my hk255, based on the specs above it can support up to 192/24, kaya lang bakit walang sound na lumalabas sa AVR ko? pero pag yung nmt ko i-connect via analog, lumalabas naman yung tunog.

any idea how i can make this work? ???

thanks!

WHat's you NMT? WHat's your NMT HDMI settings? I mean how does it output the audio? CHeck the HDMI settings in NMT and try to play with it.

use coaxial audio output of your NMT to AVR coaxial input1 or 2
connect hdmi cable from nmt to avr hdmi in

set nmt aoudio out : s/pdif : raw

set in avr:
source select source: e.g. NMT
video in : hdmi 1 or check hdmi input at the back of avr
audio in : coaxial 1 or 2 (check coaxial input at the back of avr)

sir courage/louie1,

my nmt is egreat m34a and is connected via hdmi to my hk255, audio and video is passed through the hdmi connection, movies are fine, mp3's, flac that are:

1. Sampling rate                    : 44.1 KHz
    Bit depth                          : 16 bits

2. Sampling rate                    : 48.0 KHz
    Bit depth                          : 24 bits

per pag ganito na, wala ng sound

Sampling rate                    : 96.0 KHz
Bit depth                          : 24 bits

pero pag yung analog connection (L+R) ng nmt ni-rekta ko sa amplifier, nag-play naman

any more suggestions? ???

thanks!

we have same avr...i think one limitation of 255 is passing audio signal on hdmi...my avr firmware is not updated, so i run separate audio input/cable from my nmt to hk255

i can play all flac/mp3 from my nmt(Egreat R200) flawlessly..

Have you tried connecting coaxial or optical just for audio? And not running audio thru HDMI?

I think what he's saying is NMT -> HDMI -> TV then NMT -> Coax/Optic -> AVR. 2 digital cables connected to nmt

Ok. I feel you.  ;D Usually, mga older AVRs entry to mid level AVRs doesn't have the capability to process audio via HDMI. That might be the culprit. BUT I'm sure, the AVR also plays movie via HDMI and or digital cables in his existing set-up so dapat may sound dun. Not unless the NMT can't process those flac files...  :( An FW update for the NMT might help.

hello!

been reading some topics on the net and one "possible" solution is HK255 fw update. i would like to try the optical out of my nmt to hk255 for audio but i dont have the cable(dont really feel the need to have this as i want hdmi all the way). btw, at one instance, i was able to play the 96/24 file but the sound was not good and  of very low volume so i press stop and tried to play it again, nada >:(

thanks for the help guys!

ill look for rs232 cable to upgrade my hk255 fw but after i confirm that it can be done via win7 already

will update this thread ;)
