sir, ano yun fs check problem? I doubt it will be in the near future. Medyo matagal magupdate Xtreamer ng updates e.

HDD data corruption when copying data over the network. FS Check problem yata tawag nila duon.

Just checked at Xtreamer Official forum. If Prodigy is on Firmware 3.0, then this fs check problem may have been fixed. Pero marami pa bang ibang bugs itong Firmware 3.0?

If it is still on Firmware 2.7, guess the problem (Paragon NTFS) is still there. I guess they have not resolved the problem for Xtreamer PRO which is still on Firmware 2.7.

Sir what I mean is  can you change the audio and subtitle without stopping the movie?  In the xtreamer mk1 and xtreamer pro kasi pressing the remote buttons for the audio and subtitle would stop the movie while changing these functions,  and  revert to play mode when you press the buttons again.

I think changing subtitles on the fly is a very common player feature already. Although I haven't tried the old xtreamer and pro, but I've always had that feature with all the players I bought.

boss topeng, ung package ba ni annot may kasama ng wifi antenna?

tnx

wala pa sir. try ko bumili ng CDR king na usb wlan. ;))

try ko sir. Pero parang di gumagana yun recent history nya at di gumagana yun delete functionality (delete folder/movie)

Yes sir it's common with the other brand players but  the previous Xtreamer models do not carry these features.  But the Xtreamers are durable players kaya I still stick with them(Mk 1) even though I have an A210.

Had the Prodigy for a few weeks but I am disappointed with it.

Yes it does play most things you can throw at it, but the user interface is soooo slooow, it takes so long to choose a movie to play. The menu is like walking through waist deep mud. After pressing a button on the remote sometimes it takes 5-10 secs to respond, and sometimes doesn't even respond at all :(

I have had a WDTV for the last 2 years, and have been really pleased with it, the user interface is really responsive, so using the Prodigy feels like a big step back.

So I still use the WDTV as my main media player in the living room and the Prodigy on my bedroom setup.

weird, for me it's faster than my old xtreamer sidewinder1 except for the boot up.

Boot up = ~20-30s
opening folder = 1-2s
opening movie = 1-2s
clicking the down button = real time
movie seek time is almost instant as well.

my playing 1080p dts movies for reference.

@rusty25x,
maybe it's a HDD problem? Have you tried accessing your prodigy via USB and see how long before you can open/copy files.

Checked with annot, Prodigy priced at php7,900 doesn't include the WiFi antenna (optional daw). I doubt kung may kasama ding delivery. Alam ko pick-up price iyon. Cheaper pa rin yung sa kabila at php7,480.

Baka na-mis-read mo. WiFi dongle na inclusive is for Sidewinder 2.

yup, with HDMI cable lang pala ... just a thought, it is not recommended to use wi-fi on an NMT if you plan to stream HD video from a NAS or PC, better to use wired ... wi-fi is only recommended for Internet access

Basta magulo si Xtreamer. Picture ng unit with Realtek 1185 with antenna at the back right side. Pero the unit with Realtek 1186 ay walang antenna sa back right side. At wala ring pagkakabitan. Although ang sabi WiFi antenna not included.

Thanks.

I can't seem to find any online reviews of Xtreamer Prodigy, mostly forum users who hate Xtreamer for false marketing claims in the past.   ???

So far the best thing is the design. The thick aluminum is cool to touch and to look at all the time.

Honestly, the firmware is still underdeveloped which xtreamer  naman admitted. They decided to prioritize the launch timing over the stability. Not too a big deal for me. That's how I started with their first product naman. Over time, the fw really improved to my satisfaction. Kung baseline lang pinagusapn better naman to than when sidewinder mk1 came out.

The few issues I have with the default fw are:
1. Occassional crashes especially the android apps and during file transfers
2. No slideshow and Ken Burns effect which is a must for me.
3. Can't read some of my jpeg files.
4. Sometimes it doesn't detect files at all in some folders. You'd have to go out to the main drive folder.

My wireless 2.4g wireless mouse and keyboard works well with android. I love the blue color theme of the GUI compared to the red before. Overall the gui layout is also better.

Bottom-line is, better to wait for the fw update.

just like to ask owners of the Prodigy now that you have probably been using the product for more than a month and possibly a few firmware updates regarding your thoughts on features, functions, and performance ... I'm planning to get one for my brother, and highly considering this product

thanks in advance :)

I would consider only if file system check had been resolved by Xtreamer. I believe they never resolved the one for Xtreamer Pro. Don't want to be regularly doing file system check on the hard disk using a PC. Or else risk losing the files/movies.

This might not be a good NMT for those not technically capable.
