The cheapest Sony 74mins blank MD I can buy is P180. Hope there's a store or anybody that can sell much cheaper than that.

anybody know something about "netMD" apparently Sony (not sure) developed this so we can store mp3 into md?

how do you record mp3 into md? how about the quality?

If anyone having problem with their recording, most probably yung head ay madumi na.  I have an MD head cleaner here kung gusto ninyo hiramin no problem, pero wala akong MD lens cleaner.

Meron din ako ditong spare na optical cable which I am selling discounted na, di ko kasi ma edit yung price kasi I was using a different handle then.

anong hitsura ng Md head cleaner? when it says head cleaner kasi nasa isip ko yung pang VHS eh. enlighten me naman, ty

i only got the lens cleaner eh..

hey apatmata,

I also have a sony MD player in the car pero minsan parang nahihirapan niyang mabasa yung md's ko.  Its probably because madumi ang lens ko, do you know where I can buy and MD lens cleaner?
Salamat !

apatmata, it's a bit of a misnomer, because you don't really store tracks as mp3. what sony did with their netMD is to provide a PC cable and software that converts your MP3 (or any other audio format you have) into the compression format used in MDs (ATRACS if i'm not mistaken). the conversion is done on the pc, then transferred to the MD as data, via the cable included in the package.  end result is faster "recording".

http://www.minidisc.org is a good site re md's.

Can anyone help me with my MD player.  I have a Sharp F-150 MD deck and I keep receiving an "ER-80 Error" everytime I insert an MD. :(

Already tried using an MD lens cleaner but I still have the same message. :(

Thanks in advanced

I just bought yesterday an optical cable for my Sony MD-R55 player in a shop in Robinsons Place for only P590.  The optical cable I bought was I think made in China but the recording as I tested is also "flawless"!   ;D Compared to the regular price of P1400 for Sony, JVC, or PANASONIC branded optical cables, steal na yun nabili ko. hehe...

You can buy blank MiniDiscs in SPECTRA in PARK SQUARE 1.  Price range is from P160 above per disc (Sony).  Or if you want cheaper you can go to 5th Avenue beside SPECTRA.  They have Melody brand MiniDisc (80mins) for P100 per disc.  ;)

I need help.  The adapter of my Sony MD-R55 is busted.  Does anybody know where I can buy an AC-DC Adapter that will work not only for playback & recording but also for charging of my battery? ???  My battery is 1400mah Nickel Metal Hydride (Gum Type) and 3volts yun MD player ko.  I've tried using ordinary AC-DC Adapter (Newstar brand etc.) but only playback & recording works not charging of my battery.  So yun portability ng MD player ko eh wala ng kwenta kasi ayaw gumana yun charging ng battery ko.  Please help!!!  :'(

Try the Sony service centers. Pero I think it's better to buy a separate charger (un rectangular) na lang for your gum type battery.

I've tried some Sony Service Centers and wala din sila for sale na charger for my type of battery.  Actually either konti lang accessories nila or wala sila talagang  accessories for sale for MD Players.  :-\  Ang hirap talaga maghanap ng accessories dito sa Pinas.  I think sa Spectra lang talaga pinaka madami akong nakitang accessories for MD Players.  Kaso wala din sila charger for my type of battery (Nickel Metal Hydride - Gum type).

If you know somebody selling their charger, kahit 2nd hand, ok lang just let me know nlang.  Thanks people!  :)

Currently I'm using Sony MZ-N510.  Ibibigay ko na sa anak ko ang MZ-NE410.. Kung nabasa ko lang sana noon ang ibang post. Ibinenta ko na sana sa kanila ang JVC gum type charger and battery ko. :(

I have Sony MDS-JB920 Recorder/Player Deck and Sharp MD-SS312-H portable.   Where do you buy blank MDs? I saw some Maxell at Odyssey records going for a little less than Php 300 but  only Php 90 at Image in Harisson.  The Melody brand is cheaper at Php 75 each.   Are there any MD cleaners available around?

thanks.

I'm still using this format. I have Two portable Sony MZ-N710. Will be disposing one (unit only). Can be used with any generic  3v/multi-volt 0,5amp AC-DC adapter. The adapter is widely available at Ace/True Value/Deeco/Raon for about P200-P400.

Same as this:
