Topic: Onkyo HT-S3400 or HT-S5405 or HT-S5400?

Please help me decide on these 3 HTIBs.  There is indeed a price difference amongst it and I am looking to use it long term and is looking for a system that will give me the flexibility to upgrade in the future.  I view a lot of HD Concerts and Movies, Audio and occassional gaming.  It will be in the bedroom only.

I have read that the HT-S5405 has an active sub, whereas the HT-S3400 only has a passive one.  While the HT-S5400 is a 7.1 system, though I am not sure if the subs are active or passive, since it may be the lowest end model for a 7.1.  I've noticed as well that the receivers are of different models and may be of different specs.

I look forward to your opinions and recommendations, before I make this jump.  Thanks in advance.

Both the S54000 and S5405 have active subs.

The receiver model used for each HTIB models:

S3500 = HT-R390
S5405 = HT-R548
S5400 = HT-R590

upgrade all speakers to:
Front = TSi 400
Center = CS10
Surround = Rti A1
SUB = stock

sTock speakers are good for movies but not for music. but after i upgrade, satisfied!!!
