Existing PC as HTPC
« on: Nov 24, 2011 at 07:23 AM »
Specs of my existing PC:

CPU - Intel (R) Core(TM)2Duo E7500 @ 2.93GHz

RAM - 2.00 GB

Video Card - NVIDIA GeForce 210 (1GB)

makaka-play na ba to ng 1080p movies without any problems?

ganito ang magiging set-up ko:

PC --> DVI-HDMI ADAPTER --> LCD TV

HTIB --> ANALOG AUDIO-3.5mm AUDIO adapter --> PC

ok na ba ung set-up ko? any comments? thanks.

pwede na rin, though it would be better if you could bitstream the audio from your PC to the HTiB (if it supports digital audio via optical/coax or HDMI)

sala pala, dapat pala

PC --> 3.5mm audio-analog audio(LR) -->HTiB

external digital optical in
component video output
aux in

ano pong marerecomend nyong sound card?

Thanks

double-check mo muna baka sakali meron nang optical/coax digital out yung PC. that feature is quite common recently even with low-cost motherboards. if wala talaga, then you need a sound card, either internal or external, that has optical out interface.

you can try something like this:

http://www.encore-usa.com/ph/product/ENMAB-8CM

costs less than P 1,000.00 at CDR King, not sure though kung may optical out

That PC should be able to handle this task, if it's configured properly.

thanks
