Problem with Panasonic 42PV70
« on: Dec 12, 2011 at 04:09 PM »

Hi,
My 42" Panasonic plasma (PV70) suddenly lost its sound. Display is still okay but just no sound. At first it was intermittent, but lately there is no sound most of the time.

I bought it from Stop, Look and Listen in Robinson's Pioneer (i think owned by Nemesis91) almost 4 years ago, but I think it is now closed.

I called a authorized service center and they charged me P560 just for check up but they were not able to give me any definitive findings. They hinted though that there may be problem with the "board", and if it is to be repaired/replaced it may cost around P8500.

I want to get a 2nd opinion hopefully from more reputable and trusted service centers. Hope someone can help.

Thanks
Patrick
