hey, i remember this! nice find bro, saan mo nakita at magkano kuha mo? i used to drool over small bookshelfs like this when i lived there, and this was one of the top in my list... this one has a metal dome w/c is different from the older model w/c used a soft dome (i could be wrong thought must be just the picture)... carbon fiber was very popular over there like kevlar in the UK... i think the new top-of-the-line wharfedale speaker (opus) uses carbon fiber in the woofers.

Hi, sir akyat, yan na nga yung speaker ko, nakuha ko sa pier, cost me 3.2 k, mahal ba yun? metal dome nga yung tweeter. May butas nga yung cloth sa grill. Saan ba makakabili ng cloth para sa speaker grill ? Thanks !!

bga_vi, uy sa pier mo nakuha? ba't di ako nakaka-tyempo nyan dun puros mass-produced speakers lang... hmmm makabisita nga ulit parang naligaw ako sa parksquare makabalik nga sa peborit kong mall.

kung speaker grill lang naman ang may butas mukhang good deal na yun sa 3.2k -- metal tweeter & woven carbon fiber woofer... kamusta ang tunog?

sir, ok naman tunog very clear ang highs, bass is tight, depende sa music meron maganda siya, sa iba naman di maganda. pag mga Mike Francis ok na ok ;yung sound.naka pair siya sa denon pma-780d.

Punta ko mamaya , sama kayo?

san ba makakabili ng grill cloth ?

Went to the pier yesterday, came back emptyhanded, marami bago cd players, but nothing caught my fancy, meron isang power amp onkyo m9900,luma na silver series, with a big window sa harap parang yung accuphase may mga meter sa loob, any feedback on this one ?

try downloading it yourself, the fonts are not supported in my pc. it suppose to be the owner's manual.

Hi, sir akyat, saw this sa raon, don't know kung nandun pa, asking is 6500k, i tested it kaya lang parang ayaw ng volume lumakas ng todo, baka naka on yung muting, kaya lang no remote, so hindi ma turn off yung muting, wala kasing switch for muting sa front panel. saan kaya makakuha ng remote nun. sayang maganda pa naman yung amp.

any feedback on this ? they put a tag that says 300w on the front, ang bigat ng amp na ito. sa pier naman ito. 7.5k asking

from my experience...you wont go wrong with the luxman!..i've owned two already and loving it..

try to negotiate the price..i got a LV105 before somewhere in the 6k range...

yup, i agree with tryaudio, got the same LV105... twas fixed by joan2 just a couple days ago, according to him it really does have a unique circuit, its not your usual tube preamp + ss power amp, it actually uses all ss in the preamp section and hybrid tube+ss in the power amp.

the LV117 is 110w + 110w all solid-state, but i think i saw a webpage describing it has built-in DACs... original price of 135,000yen was a little higher than the LV105 so it might indicate a fairly mid-to-high range model... 7.5k may be a bit pricey for a surplus amp, the yahoo auctions history indicates pricing between 7000 - 12000yen so it should be around between 4k - 6k only.

I also have a Yamaha AX-1200 integrated amp but it's not a surplus. I bought it 8 months ago from a Filipina balikbayan from Japan whose married to a Japanese. This particular model is of limited production and made of only high grade audiophile components. It was exclusively sold in the Japanese market for JPY 128,000.

The sound is generally smooth, clear and clean with very good extension at both frequency extremes. It has a very deep and wide soundstage with captivating midrange (no euphonic coloration as with bottle-shaped amplifying devices!

) and of course very powerful. It's conservatively rated @ 185wpc at 6 ohms - remote-controlled volume, source selector, etc. IMHO it blasts away many European and American amps in its price category in both sound and features.

To unlock the muting feature, almost any Yamaha RC for receiver or amp may be used or a universl RC.

i took home the Luxman LV-105u last night after joan2 moved a pair of working mosfets from my other luxman amp... this was the amp i shorted with the speaker wire... he also showed me some tweaks he made, bypassing some electrolytic caps with polypropylene... the whole job cost me P500... funny it only took a few days to fix, i shoulda brought it in months ago silly me... libre pa pukpok sa casing to flatten the slightly deformed cover... firing it up in my bedroom audio setup, wooohooo! its back in business, i hear the same old treble detail and slim but fast bass that i liked... was planning to dispose of it coz i needed the dough but i think maybe not anymore... must be the novelty factor, but i still find it slightly better sounding than my already great sounding marantz sr7300... wooooooo lagot my sansui & accuphase amps are starting to break a sweat.

pre i was lucky coz i saw that both the LV103 and LV105 uses the exact same mosfets... since both amps had one channel gone kaput, we were able to revive one amp at the expense of the other... now the tricky part is that the remaining amp has no more working mosfets (we need 2 each of P's and N's)... but tony is still trying to revive it -- he already identified an alternative mosfet, but unfortunately i was able to find only the P's and not the N's... would have been cheap fix at P70 only... another alternative is to modify the power output section from mosfet to bipolar... seems tricky & dangerous but i told him i'm game for anything since i already have one working... balitaan kita if he's able to fix the LV103.

mag work kaya yung sa yamaha rxv-630 ko na remote dun sa amp. wala muting yung remote ko, but it has a mute button, pareho lang kaya yun ?

- bypass power supply electrolytic caps for better transient response in the high frequencies.
