Alam ko hindi na ginagamit yung mga version numbers like 1.3, 1.4, etc... Kaya sa amazon at monoprice eh nakalagay na lang 'high speed' or 'standard'. Even yung mediabridge or monster, ganun din ang description sa amazon. Kaya ito ang binili ko kasi it specifically states 'supports 3D and ARC', unlike yung monster na 'high speed' lang ang description. Anyway, I'll do more tests later to isolate the problem. Kung cable talaga, then I would have to get another one

Problem solved! Eto ang ginawa ko to isolate the problem:

1) Connected the BD directly to the PJ using the 35 ft cable ---> 3D worked which means my long cable is 3D capable talaga.
2) removed the onkyo 809 from the rack and placed it near the PJ. Connected the PJ and the BD to the Onkyo using 2 of my hdmi cables that were proven to work with 3D ---> no 3D! So mukhang onkyo ang may problem.
3) tried to fidget with the onkyo settings (turned off deep color, disabled all video processing sa onkyo) ---> still no 3D. At that point, nawawalan na ako ng options.
4) Finally, I decided to reset my onkyo to its factory setting ---> 3D worked!

Di ko alam ano ang nangyari. Anyway, happy na ako that everything is working fine. Will re-calibrate na lang later.

By the way, I decided to repaint my DIY screen yesterday, this time using light gray paint (white flat wall enamel + small amount of black tinting color) then put a 4 cm felt paper (black) border all around. Mas maganda siya compared sa white. Black levels improved, yung whites naman eh di naman naapektuhan gaano. Better ang felt paper compared dun sa previous na black painted border kasi gloss black paint yung nagamit ko before at may reflection kapag natatamaan ng ilaw

Congrats again. probably nasa memory na ni Onkyo yun old monitor mo so you have to reset it again para mabasa niya yun new PJ mo.

yung nvidia 3d nya, i need to really go HTPC route ba? will an NMT work if its capable na play 3d kaya?

after looking at the Panny 100 lamp life and the fan noise level, parang ok itong sa yo ah. was that your consideration?

Sorry I haven't tried NMT for 3D as I don't have 3D files. I also don't have an HTPC. I use 3D mainly for BD and PS3 games. I settled for the HD33 after reading that it performs well in both 2D and 3D. I also like the fact that it uses RF to sync the glasses. Nabasa ko kasi na kapag IR, minsan kapag napalingod ka eh nawawala sa sync yung glasses. So far I'm very satisfied with my HD33. About the fan noise, the first time I tried this PJ napansin ko maingay din ang fan but I hardly notice the noise once the movie starts.

Naku, di nga umaabot ang volume ko sa reference level. Usually masaya na ako sa 70 (reference volume is 82). Ear-friendly at mas nakakatid pa sa kuryente

Latest addition to my setup. DIY playseat for my Logitech Driving Force GT. Great for 3D gaming. Best of all, got it for free (car seat and metal fabrication) care of our friendly neighbor who has an auto shop. I just bought the tubular metal from the hardware

Supposedly kahapon ang dating ng barko pero according to forex, 1-2 weeks daw to be cleared by customs

ETA is yesterday (it is stated in my account). Not sure kung nakarating nga kahapon yung barko but I called Forex and I was told na kung nakarating nga, it would take an additional 1-2 weeks bago madeliver sa house since my package still has to clear customs

Finally, nakarating na daw ang barko na may dala ng PJ screen. But then again, 1-2 weeks pa para madeliver sa house (has to clear customs pa). Siguro yung PJ mo, darating na any moment now since nauna mo ipina-ship yun
