Am looking forward to a review on this model. Specifically 32EH5000. Very hard to find specs and review from the web.

Really want to know how good is this LED backlit as compared to edgelit.

Thing is, this doesn't have an optical audio out (DTS 2.0) anymore.

If wala siyang optical out, paano ang set-up if I want to use my HTiB with my PS3 through this tv?

Sorry, but I don't have a PS3. If PS3 have Optical Out, you feed this to the HTIB Optical In using an optical cable/patch cord.

While for those sounds coming out (TV broadcast, or built-in media player) from this LED TV, I suppose only Audio Out (RCA) to connect to HTIB Audio In (RCA). Not sure though if this works this way. Haven't seen the user manual for this LED TV.

I suppose that your HTIB doesn't have HDMI In. Am assuming that you have Optical In and Audio In (RCA).

have seen this model displayed in ansons trinoma.. Didn't like it, ang kapal ulit, parang lcd, tapos 1 usb port lang, 2 hdmi.. D series is much better..

I saw this unit yesterday at Western, it played dvd and it doesn't seem to highlight the capabilities of the LED, it looked pixelated and a bit choppy and the Sony BX311 and 310 beside it looked more awesome.. But I think it would be more fair to judge the PQ if they are playing from the same source.. Now I'm thorn between getting this unit or the Sony BX series

kaya makapal dahil direct led (full array) lahat ng EH SERIES at kaya di sya prone sa backlight bleeding unlike edgelit led.

wala akong makitang full spec nito : 32EH5000.. eto ba eh same technology nung mga 100hz rate ? kasi dati ang uso pataasan ng hz para fluid yung galaw ng video lalo na sa high def? and also ok ba ito for gaming ?

The PAL system as indicated in the Singapore site is 100Hz. The NTSC for our country is 120Hz. The higher the motion rate, the better for lesser blur motion, especially during gaming.

Here is the computation:

Current brand new 37D5000 is P24K. Less 12% VAT, TV becomes P21,428. Less depreciation 10%, TV becomes P19,000.

46EH5000 is P53K. You need to add P34K to trade-in your 37D5000 for a new 46EH5000.

although it is not as thick as everyone thinks - not really an issue if we are talking just a couple of centimeters here.

the tv performs well as an LED - good tv for the living room. Even with my blinds are rolled up - the tv still performs very well.

Another factor is the power consumption - i think this averages just around 60 w (46 incher) which is again perfect for the living room where the tv is always on.

Many buyers also were at first turn off by the thick cabinet, but later were convince by the picture this TV presets. You need to consider technology as against the aesthetic look. The TV is the first full array TV in the market. The advantage is that these sets employ "local dimming". Local dimming means that each LED or a specific group of LEDs can be turned on and off independently within certain areas of the screen, thus providing more control of the brightness and darkness for each those areas.

The full array LED is the reason that the cabinet becomes thicker, but this has advantage too Unlike the thin cabinet that cannot accommodate quality speakers, the thick cabinet install bigger speakers that present bolder and louder but more distinct sounds. The thin speakers creates soft, metallic, and great distortion sound reproduction.

Also you have to consider the 120Hz clear motion rate CMR of this TV. Manu TVs out there in the market are still either in the 60 or 100Hz.

We highly recommend this TV.
