ang misterio dito bakit walang gumagamit ng triangle offense sa nba? the offense is proven to work in different settings, pat summit won i think 8 titles using the triangle offense (and is considered the best female coach ever and one of the best coaches of all time), tim cone used it to win multiple titles with alaska

Fire Mike DunlAp!  ;D

4 game losing streak na ang Bobcats.

18 pt lead na sa 4th quarter, nahabol pa ng Blazers  :P

Hanep yung core ng Blazers, too bad they don't have any depth on the bench.

I abhor watching the lakers naman.for a team with so much talent, why do they play na para silang Washington wizards?heck, the wizards try harder pa nga e.

Reaction lang to the spurs fine:

If pop played those 4 guys a minute each, would stern still have fined them?

Great idea.
This could have given paying fans their chance to atleast see spurs' big  3 in action with pop complementing his concern. I'm sure fans won't mind much if they played limited minutes rather than not seeing these 3 at all. :) I feel they won't be fined.

Lakers will play 9 of their next 12 games on the road including stops at OKC and New York.. Nash isn't expected to play on the road trip.. Steve Blake will be gone 6-8 more weeks because he needs an operation.. if the Lakers are still below .500 after the road trip, I don't think they'll go deep in the playoffs, let alone make it..

This was the year that Coach Rudy Tomjanovich took over Phil Jax but resigned after 41 games. This, plus injuries were too much for a rebuilding Laker team then.  I think Vlade Divac was still playing for the Lakers then.  Lakers failed to make it to the playoffs for the 5th time in franchise history.  Their record then was 34-48.

As for their lineup then, medyo di naman ganoon ka powerhouse and wala si Shaq ha.

Coach: Rudy Tomjanovich (24-19), Frank Hamblen (10-29) Players: Kobe Bryant - Caron Butler - Chucky Atkins - Lamar Odom - Chris Mihm - Jumaine Jones - Brian Cook - Tierre Brown - Brian Grant - Luke Walton - Stanislav Medvedenko - Devean George - Sasha Vujacic - Vlade Divac - Kareem Rush - T. Bobbitt

With their lineup now with Mamba, DH12, and Nash, they have no excuse not to make it to the playoffs.  Sobrang kahiya hiya pag di sila lumusot >:(

TOO early to tell but am anxious to see what a serious MIA team can do with the new-look NYK team this friday. :)

So far MIA is still #1 in the East.

not really worried with lakers not making the playoffs since there are a lot weaker teams in the western conf. the problem is how they will compete with the contenders like miami and okc. with the way they are playing right now they have a good chance to be eliminated on the 1st round.

if the lakers get eliminated in the 1st round, there is a big possibility of howard leaving for free agency and move to another contender. probably brooklyn.

The West is at least 10-deep this season. And maybe up to 12 teams have a good shot of making the playoffs. The East is the weaker conference. That's why an Eastern team has led the overall standings for the past 5 seasons.

^ no one gave detroit a chance that year.. Bka ma sweep pa daw sila ng lakers..  GP was lucky he won with the heat, malone wala..

Just saw the current standings, Lal fighting to reach .500 is just unbelievable. But they still have kobe so nothing to worry.. clips dominating the division, followd by the redhot warriors = nice..

Oh that was 2003-2004 Season where they won the WC Finals but lost to Detroit.  Not bad.  I'd be really happy if the current Lakers will make it to the Finals.

Seems like a repeat of the 2004-2005 season (?) for the lakers.overflowing with talent on paper, underachieving on the floor

not even close yung team today sa 2003-2004 team. The Payton-Malone-Shaq-Kobe team was actually very competitive. They started really strong and they strung out a couple of winning streaks. Their championship drive was halted by a very good Pistons defense. Shaq was denied the ball every time and the injury to Malone was a devastating blow. Payton's dislike for the triangle offense was not favored by PJax and so the super team crumbled.

This 2012 "super team" would be run over by that old team. Gasol is clearly out of his normal flow, they are missing their starting point guard hence Kobe has to be the facilitator and the scorer, Dwight is horrible at the line, etc etc. It's not fair to the 2003-2004 Super team to be compared to a second-rate team that the Lakers have today.
