With Nash, Mike Brown now has to effectively go back to square one with his plays in order to maximize Nash's talents.  Unless the Lakers took Nash to be simply a spot up shooter.

Kobe likewise has to adjust his game now as Nash would be handling the ball 90% of the time.

Wala akong kabelieve believe dyan kay M.Brown since the beginning, hope he gets fired asap, maybe get Sloan?

Nash will thrive in LA. He's one of the players who is a natural behind the camera. I recall how good he was doing those vitamin water and toyota commercials.

With Nash now in place, they shouldn't trade for Howard any more especially with his injured condition.

Nash is actually better in crunch time conditions than Kobe. Gasol and Bynum will actually thrive with Nash. Kobe has to give up some of his ballhogging tendencies. If they get Hill pa, jeeze. Oldies but goodies.

back to being an LDF(Lakers Defense Force) and HDF(Heat Defense Force)!

sana maging Lakers vs Heat sa 2013 NBA Finals ;D

Pag ganyan ang nangyari, magiging nonsense 'yung bashing ng haters against Heat for me, kasi kahit sino manalo dyan okey lang sa 'ken. I want Nash to get his ring before he retires.

Go Heat!
Go Lakers!

I hope Nash can convince Grant Hill to come join him in LA. If that happens, I think MWP or Barnes will be traded or let go. Hmmm...will D12 change his mind about LA? I'm sure he's pretty adamant about not copying Shaq's road to glory, but a year in Los Angeles' bright lights might be what he needs.

its obvious that the Lakers will try to chase that title that has eluded them for the past two years. rebuilding isnt the priority right now. Nash averaged 10 plus assists last year surrounded by a bunch of no name players. he got worn down by being the primary scorer for the Suns and at the same time tasked to create for others.  Life is going to be a breeze for Nash in LA. no need to be the primary option anymore...all he needs to do is to create and to chip in his deadly accuracy from beyond the arc when needed.

Goodbye Sessions...Hello 2 time MVP.

IMHO no need to trade for that Pandora in the Box player named Howard plus one albatross of a contract in Hedo or Richardson. Keep the Mamba+Twin Tower core intact, ship out Metta, re-sign Jordan Hil, try to get Grant Hill and another player that is defense oriented and they are all set.

Hmm... Lets say lakers n Heat play in the Finals and Lebron decides to play pg how will the Lakers keep Nash on the floor?

James
Wade (healthy 100%)
Battier
Bosh
Haslem

I dont see Steve Nash guarding any of them. Tapos Coach pa nila si Mike Brown *facepalm
pwede rin iInterchange si Ray Allen kay Battier.

Mukhang marami pang kelangan ng moves ang LAL.

OKC is still the team to beat sa West, even on paper.

nash can guard battier who has been relegated to a spot up shooter in his NBA career. meron pa naman tinatawag na help defense or zone defense to give the offensive team a tougher time to score.

Full article :  http://espn.go.com/blog/los-angeles/lakers/ (NASH TO LAKERS DEAL)

"Kobe Bryant: He doesn't have to shoulder all the burden of the offense. He doesn't have to bring the ball up court. He doesn't have to do everything. He doesn't have to shoot so much. He can play as many minutes, expending less energy, scoring more points, more efficiently, on fewer shots, and gets a partner he can really trust. He doesn't have to shoulder the burden.

Can he put it down? Can he let go? Can he defer? Can he work off-ball, off-screens, taking the easy shots, not having the ball in his hands for much of the game? Can he make that sacrifice? Will he make that sacrifice?

This could be great for Bryant.

This could be hard for Bryant.

We'll have to see.

Mike Brown: Not a bad thing to get a two-time MVP to run point for your team. He has more talent. He has someone to trust. But there are officially no more excuses for Mike Brown. If that offense sputters again, Brown's going to be toast. With great rosters comes great responsibility."

Thabeet is a bust ...... specifically a 7-3" bust.

He's still young though ..... just might improve under the West champs.

He also should come in cheap for OKC's overall salary ..... low risk, high reward for OKC.

'Wag naman Boss dpogs, kampi pa din tayo sa Heat  ;D, pero I just want Nash to get his ring bago mag retiro  ;D

Actually, you left yourself with a lot of potential excuses here since the roster is not yet complete.

also, everything is theoretical at this point. we have to see how injuries and momentum plays during the final weeks of regular season before we can determine the potential finalists.
Example, 2011-2012 Bulls

Yeh then Battier can shoot over Nash because he is not that good on D. Remember Battier keeps on getting open in the Finals, in a Zone D as LBJ have done some Posts...

Also now Wade will be healthier for sure. ...then there's Ray ray, if they can pull it off.

Anyway mukhang Lakers vs. HEAT ulit sa December 25th. ^_^

Fitness level of players and familiarity as well as playoff seedings probably.  But the playoffs have always been the same even during lockout seasons.  I believe the best team almost always wins.  The last shortened season saw the Spurs win.  And to show that was no fluke, they won 3 more after that.
