If I were Linn I would wish that NY doesn't match the offer sheet that the Rockets gave to him. He will play behind Felton and Kidd if that happens which isn't good for his career. If the Rockets end up with him chances are he will be the starting PG since Lowry and Dragic were both shipped out already.
if knicks sign lin, magiging 4 guard rotation sila, masyado marami.. forgot the name of that injured pg, who i think is better than lin and felton, because he plays good d.. Sayang talaga si dragic, kung yun ang nkuha ng knicks, instead of felton or resigning lin..

Iman Shumpert? he's more of a combo guard but i agree that he plays good D

or.. are you talking about Baron Davis?

LOL on Melo's comments that Lin's offer from Houston is a ''ridiculous contract''

he's being payed a lot too but he hasn't done anything yet to carry the Knicks to the promised land

there're also rumors of Grant Hill starting before Shump returns.

Grant Hill, NBA's second oldest player behind Kurt Thomas, is considering Knicks, Lakers & Heat. Hill's wife, the singer Tamia, prefers NY

BD, haha.. yeah Shumpert, solid guard for me.. Melo can only play D against LBJ, he struggles against others.. or maybe the effort.. if he plays better d this year, he could be top 10 :)

A major luxury tax hit is what Lin will bring the KNICKS two years from now ..... when his back-loaded contract (from the ROCKETS) coincides with the existing huge contracts of Melo, Amare, Chandler, etc.

I'm sure no one doubts the marketing power of Lin ...... (for once) but I kinda agree with J.R. Smith when he stated in an interview:

"I think some guys take it personal (Lin's impending huge contract), because they've been doing it longer and haven't received any reward for it yet. I think it's a tough subject to touch on for a lot of guys."

Though Lin deserves a nice pay raise, his new huge contract speaks more of his marketability rather than compensation for his court contributions - which amounts to just 35 games ..... I agree with Smith that at the very least, it might affect team chemistry.

The KNICKS management probably see this angle too (it's likely that a few KNICKS players have already said a few words to them) ...... there can also be some doubts about Lin's productivity on a full 82-games season.

We'll see in a day or two if the KNICKS retain Lin (and have 4 PG's under contract) or they'll go with Felton as their lead PG.

Brand is still serviceable ...... way overpaid though, hence was amnestied by the 76'ers. Great pick-up by the MAVS.

Brand is kinda like the PBA's Bong Hawkins - limited hops, but has a very decent short jumper and knows his way near the basket.

IMO Mayo has been a minor disappointment the past few seasons ..... can't seem to find his role in Memphis. His move to the MAVS just might be a blessing for his game.

a nice article on the hotly debated topic between the 1992 dream team vs the 2012 olympic team.the writer could not have said it better that it was not only the offense of the dream team that made that team special but it was it's defense.supposing chris paul, bryant, lebron and company got past  stockton, jordan and pippen i wonder how they deal with players such as ewing, robinson, barkley and malone guarding the paint.

it look like NY will not match the offer. the marketability of Lin far outweighs the penalties that NY has to deal. Lin doesn't even need to produce all-star stats as long as NY wins.

I kinda agree from a business standpoint.  Arena advertisements, box office draw, merchandise sale...with Lin, I believe they would make more money than the $25M Lin is being offered.  Heck they might be able to make more than that in Lin's first year alone.

+25M
as long as Lin is healthy he's pretty much a cash cow. if he starts for NY, expect that he will sell more jerseys than any of his teammates :-)

^Something's fishy about the Knicks not wanting to match the Lin deal.

In other news, Kris Humphries signs with the Nets with a 2 yr $24m deal.

Who's afraid of the luxury tax?  :o
