Apparently, some very angry Orlando MAGIC fans have edited GM Rob Hennigan's wiki page (have since been updated back to it's original state) ....  :D

“On August 9th, 2012, Rob Hennigan officially became the worst GM in the history of professional sports when he traded Dwight Howard to the Los Angeles Lakers for 2 Diet Cokes and a bag of Lays potato chips.

On August 10th, 2012 his wife divorced him and children also wish to have nothing more to do with such a pathetic excuse of a man.”

Can't blame the fans though ...... Rob Hennigan easily replaces GRIZZLIES GM Chris Wallace as the LAKERS most valuable trading partner.

Chris Wallace was the GM responsible for the brilliant trade, that saw the Memphis GRIZZLIES trade away franchise player Pau Gasol ...... for the rights to epic bust Kwame Brown & more scrubs (plus rights to Marc Gasol).

barring any major injuiries..... lakers vs heat in finals. the multitude of talent in the lakers is too much to overcome i think. their starting five is just too much. they can even afford to use gasol off the bench.

On paper too much.   Nash once led the league in assists/2nd last year.   Kobe once led the league in scoring/2nd last year.  Howard many times leading rebounder.  Gasol, one of the most versatile big man.

In between the starting 5, 8 rings.  3 MVPs.  4 DPOY.   Multiple All Star Appearances.

Really looks good.....on paper for now.  Yan ah.  Thats why cant wait for season opener....even if Howard may be there yet.

I'm more excited to see Steve Nash run the show than Howard making his debut. Big time offense is back in LA.

Great move by LA by acquiring Howard while keeping Gasol but they still have to beef up their wing position by adding an athletic wingman who can score.

Hehehe,... I am still hopeful sir,...
But most experts are saying na mag-iingat na yan...

Pero parang walang major changes sa line up ng BULLS,
parang walang impressive na nadagdag,...

If so, then I would be rooting for the hometeam,.. LA Lakers,..  :P

they do play by TEAMWORK, hindi umiiral ang pagiging superstar...

bro what does this mean?  :)

It meant averaging 28 pts and 15 rebounds. That was Shaq's average when the Lakers won several rings with Shaq as daddy! But that's a tough number for D12 considering Kobe is his team mate.

Athens Greece Olympic 2004, BRONZE Medalist po ang US Basketball Team

Allen Iverson         Emeka Okafor

Dwyane Wade         Amar'e Stoudemire
Carlos Boozer         Tim Duncan
Carmelo Anthony         Lamar Odom

I'm an Orlando Magic fan since I was in grade school. I think Hennigan did the right thing in starting the rebuilding process in Orlando. They are now $30M under the cap starting in 2014. Has 3 future 1st round picks + 2 second round picks coming from LA, Denver and Philly not including their own. Has a $17.8M trade exception. Got 2 young players with a lot of upside in Harkless and Vucevic along with a young, good shooting guard in Afflalo. Gotten rid of an aging player in-decline in Jason Richardson along with the  most-hated Magic player in Duhon. And stacked the front-court with a lot of bigs(Nicholson, Ayon, Davis, O'Quinn, Harrington, McRoberts).

Knowing that the owner, Devos is willing to spend to make the team better, I for one is excited for the team's future  :)

Shaqs implying that D12 must score 28 and grab 15 rebs for an automatic Laker title.  In the Laker 3-peat playoffs from 2000-2002...Shaq did just that, average 28 and 15 in the whole 3 peat playoffs.

Still not good enough though.  He could have insisted on getting Pau Gasol.  If the team doesn't want him, then trade him to Houston who all the while salivated on getting the Spaniard.  With Houston clearing their roster, Hennigan could've gotten additional rookies, picks or even one huge trade exception estimated at around $19M.  In the event Hennigan doesn't really want to acquire Gasol, at least find a way to likewise get rid of Hedo.

Plus how can you trade the NBA's best center for lottery protected picks?  The picks Orlando got were estimated to be at the mid-teens to the 20's.  That alone is a bad move. After all the posturing and delay in negotiations with the Nets and the Rockets hoping for the best deal, Hennigan settled for the worst.

^so baffling. Maybe the Magic owner is a Lakers fanboi?

from Adrian Wojnarowski ‏twitter:

@WojYahooNBA

Final Nets offer Orlando rejected in July: Lopez, Humphries (1 year, $9.6M), Brooks, 4 unprotected No. 1's for Howard, JRich, Duhon, Clark.

HOU offered ORL $12M in space (instead of Afflalo), recent 1st picks, future lottery and unprotected picks. Would've taken bad deals and no need to take on Harrington contract.

The Russian SG Shved was quite a revelation in the bronze medal game. I'm sure he's going to get some playing time in Minnesota next year behind Brandon Roy. In fact, the TWolves now have a very competitive (and very international) line-up and should make the playoffs next year (barring any major injuries again):

PG   Rubio / Ridnour / Barea
SG   Roy / Shved
SF   Kirilenko / DWilliams / Budinger
PF    Love / Cunningham
C     Pekovic / Stiemsma

tama! what ever happened to surrounding superstar players with the right role players? so ngayon hindi na sisikat yung mga tulad nila robert horry, bruce bowen, dennis rodman, mario ellie, dennis johnson, horace grant, and the likes? mind you those players have multiple NBA championships where they were integral to their respective teams

Uso parin naman mga bros. Let us not forget kung sino ba nakapaikot na role players sa Miami? Chalmers, Miller, Battier, Haslem, etc.

Good thing the US' outside shooting has been clicking so far.
