On another note, looks like Miami Heat will use Ray Allen not primarily as a 3 point option but to shoot high percentage perimeter shots. video : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HMAFwcXs6bQ&feature=fvsr

Why? Because he was most effective when he did this for Seattle Supersonics. He was averaging 26 pts back then. He will still shoot 3 pts depending on the situation but I think he will let the others do that -- Lewis, Miller, Battier. I'd say a good move by Spoelstra and this makes Miami even more potent.

When Allen was averaging 26 points per game during his stint with the Sonics he was their main to go guy and his playing time was big. I remember him having impressive hops too as he can drive and dunk as well but now the story is different. He plays off the bench and is on the twilight of his career complete with bothersome ankles and knees. Realistically it would be great to see him logging in 20 to 25 minutes per game and averaging 12 to 15/game. That's already a tremendous help to the core of Miami.

in hindsight when Seattle got this kid named Kevin Durant from the draft they immediately got rid of Allen. Durant blossomed almost immediately and embraced the responsibility of being the main man.

it says oct 28, 8am CST. Based on that, converted it, and its Sunday oct 28 9pm philippine time. I dont know if the countdown is based on CST, or local philiippine time.
