Weakness talaga ng Miami ang opponent na malakas ang interior presence.

As I said in my previous post, Miami ain't gonna win again if they still play small ball.  It's still a big man's game.  Other teams like NYK, OKC and even the Lakers ( why do you think they got DH12?) have adjusted and prepared for the "small ball" system of Miami.  Miami needs to adjust, if they want to repeat.

In the past, small ball was applied by Don Nelson for the Golden State Warriors.  Round 1 they beat the Mavs.  But in round 2, di na sila lumusot sa Utah.  Small ball can't bring your team too far.

I would give Miami the benefit of the doubt.  Small ball did produce a title.  So it was successful no question.  But is it enough to repeat.....   :D

^ You can say that after Bosh stop to get Lazy(afaik he did well against Chandler in the first round last time) and Gabrielle Union stop getting busy with Wade. :)

Also I didn't know Don Nelson teams are known for their Defense(team). :D Miami did get far using Position-less Basketball last season. Just count the teams they beat in the postseason before they went on beating OKC in the Finals. Name the Big Men they went through.

Ahh you beat me to that. :) Is it enough to repeat? Yes.

They aren't a different team, its the format that changes and the coaching staff that has a much bigger impact.  If they are a different team then they would go 16-0 in the playoffs.

I see what you did there, but that does not follow off course. (non-sequitur).

They are a different team because The Players will play differently too, just like what Haslem said we need to do whatever we can to channel last season's mindset. Last season they struggled with some teams too in the regular season.

The coaching staff can only do so much but its the players that is there on the floor.

Yan nga sabi ko. :D (read a few posts back)

BUT may mga serious posts naman ehehe. ;)

Anyway, we will admit we're wrong after the Defending Champs lose in the playoffs.

Hoo, another issue is... I see LBJ gone in 2014 if this team doesn't "improve" though. :D

Maybe he'll go the Lakers. ^_^

Well I am only talking about Miami and I don't think they'll be as Lazy as this in the playoffs, and I'll just repeat that Miami has the better players than the other teams specially when they play to their Champion Identity. So still, it more applies to Miami. Lazy and inconsistent to smooth and competitive. :D

Oh and also one team that doesn't have this level+ was the Bulls, just like what we already talked about so it cannot be said of all the other teams.

Oh, that was the season dallas had a higher level than Miami right?  There are elite teams and there are also ran teams.  The Bulls as good as they were had minimal to no playoff experience that year.

Interior presence doesn't just mean scoring. That is only one aspect. Factor in intimidation, defense, shot blocking, rebounding and that ever lingering thought of falling to the ground if you drive against the triumvirate of Wallace, Thomas and Chandler.

When Miami lost to Dallas two years ago They only had Chandler manning the post but it was just enough to upend Miami's bid for a ring that year. Chandler isn't even a scoring center. He just takes advantage of lobs, P&R's and hustle plays but the defense....well it resulted to being the DPOY that season.

Shucks, NBA Premium will NOT feature the Lakers OKC game.  Instead, it will be shown at ESPN at 1030am.

NBA Premium will show Boston@Sixers 8am and the Orlando@Kings 1100 am.   :( >:(

Miami is deadly on transition and LBJ has the body to guard centers of the opposing teams in the half court.
I see no problem Miami playing small ball since the players are quick and athletic.
