Kobe said the sprain was as bad as the one caused by Jalen Rose in the 2000 Finals. So, he's sure to miss the next one in Indiana. Hope he recovers in time when they play Sacramento on Sunday.

Looking back at the play - sure looks like Dahntay Jones went into Kobe's vertical space. Tough break.

I remember he still played even with the sprained leg during the Lakers-Pacers finals. But for now, it's best that he rests it.

Just a sprain but that is the only injury that has repeatedly made Kobe miss games. He didn't play for a month in 04-05 and a few games in 09-10. He even missed Game 3 of that 2000 Finals because of it. The Lakers can't afford 1 game without Kobe and the way he's so pissed about it, it means he's going to miss at least a game. Tough break, indeed.
