even if we pit in prime Kobe and LBJ right now, Kobe can't effectively guard Lebron for 48 mins. sure he can strip Lebron but to stop him, i don't think so. mauubos energy ni Kobe. effective team D is the only defense that can stop lebron. you can't rely on 1-on-1 defense to stop him.

How can you defend that kind of body with matching speed and athletic ability. With the frame that Kobe has he can't really defend LBJ, just look at the size.

Haha all this talk about the bulls made me check out pippen in his stint as the lone superstar. Mr. Evrything din sya e. Just a notch bellow LBJ, if i'll use the 94-95 season as the basis.

Even with Jordan around he was a do it all guy too, dialed down lang talaga ang offense kasi kahit hindi magscore si pip pupuntos ata ng 35-40 si Jordan every night kung kailangan. Pip just couldn't play 5 like Magic did, Pip was just too lean for that spot. Pip defends, scores(somehow), rebounds hussles and sets up the play, coordinates the defense and does so for 48 minutes when necessary. Very similar to Magic Johnson and Lebron James, pass first mentality din.

Its not that Kobe couldnt defend ariza. Some games, Kobe just decides to play D, some games he just plays matador d and sags off a lot on his assignment. When he is up to the task he'll defend a guy the best he can.

hindi naman siguro pippen is almost the same height as lebron,has long arms,quick on his feet and has active hands.for sure lebron will score but pippen will make sure he will bleed for his points.

Pitting teams from different eras will be a never ending debate, much like politics and religion.

Bill Russell said he never engages in such talk because it's like playing against a ghost. He said he would always play and go up against the guy who shows up in court.

I agree, because the only way to find out is to let them play against each other. And the only way closest to doing that is via PS3 or XBOX.

Incidentally, my kid and I played and his team (Miami) beat me ( Bulls ) by 9 points
