Topic: Best NMT to play MKV and Netflix?

I was set to get a PCH A300 but after learning that it can't play netflix, I backed down. Now I'm looking for a good player that can play MKV files as well as stream netflix. It would be a good plus if that device can also download cover art for me automatically like networkmedia jukebox (which is why i wanted so much to get the a300).

Anyway, does anyone have any good suggestion on what player to get?

Note: Btw, I need the player to play my NAS (Synology DS212) over the wired network

Just get a PCH300 and an Apple TV - but actually, my main reason for getting Apple TV is to wirelessly stream music from my Apple gadgets.

Or just get a PCH300 and a fast internet subscription to download anything you want that you would otherwise want to stream through (subcription to) Netflix.

i dont want to get an apple tv because im getting a denon amp which would take care of the airplay function. 

Some say to get a WDTV live which will can handle both the MKV and netflix. Only thing is, is there a drawback on this WDTV? Can you search for movies fast? Can it play all MKVs much like the PCH? Can it be paired with my Synology DS212 NAS?

Im suggesting an Apple TV for your Netflix needs, not for airplay.  I only mentioned my specific use of that device because I dont need Netflix at all, and the Apple Express interferes with my home network.

The Apple TV is only $100 anyways (and very easy to sell if you decide to do so), so just get one of those cheap Egreats for 5K or 6K that plays MKVs and does your jukebox thingy?  Total cost would then be about the same as that of PCH300, that is, if total cost is a concern.  You dont seem to need full BD navigation anyways.

You want to take your chance with the WDTV and save money? ikaw.

Actually I'm not after the budget but rather I would like things to be as simple as possible. If 1 device could do both Netflix and MKV then mas ok.

i just checked on the Xtreamer forums, the report on Xtreamer Sidewinder 3 and Prodigy supporting Netflix is not verified ... it should work however on the Xtreamer Ultra cause that is basically an HTPC

with regards to performance, the Xtreamer media player, even the first generations have very good performance in terms of file access
