I recently bought a Panasonic Viera Plasma TV model X50s. This is a new model with built-in media player. It can play both mp4, divx and MKV file format via its built-in USB input device. This feature is great especially it can play high definition 1080p mkv file format. The downside is it can only decode audio in dolby digital and ac3 format and it cannot decode DTS audio. I wonder how I could possibly play mkv file format with DTS audio. Do I need to convert the file or is there a firmware that I can update my Panasonic Plasma TV so it can decode DTS audio? I would highly appreciate any help from our experts and forum members. Thanks.
