Guys,
What is the best frequency setting ng us audio sub? mine is DTX 5.8  ( not completely kasi may balance pa ko kay qball e ;D ) and parehas lang sila ng US audio. pati un casing. naiba lang un logo. imbes na US audio, DTX nakalagay.
tsaka dalawa input nya and sabi ni qball, maski isa lang gamitin, pede na. kasi what i did was diniretso ko na lang un RCA from the DVD to the sub. kelangan bang gumamit ng y connector? san makakabili nun? may pagbabago ba? tnx.......

@ultraman,

Bro,
Question! Ang Y-connector ba na sinasabi nyo ay yung cord na may isang male RCA jack that is split into two male RCA jacks? (Or you could also say na 2 rca merged into 1). Kasi eto yun sa pagkakaalam ko, but I just wanna make sure din. Thanks! ;)

bro kimosabe,
is it still considered a y-connector regardless of the jacks whether all males or females or a combination of both? Thank you, bro.

anyone heard this new line of subs from Dai-1chi?

reviews naman dyan...

they come in 8, 10 and 12 inches forward-firing drivers but wasn't able to see if they come in ported or sealed type designs.

bro,
thanks ha? Mga Sir Gurus, a little help? TIA.

Bro audioslave,
I think they'd perform very similarly to their other brand names, same manufacturer e, especially if the construction is very similar. Remember usaudio 508 and DTX 5.8? Label lang ang nabago. This may be the Studio Acoustics label for the DTX 4.x series. But if different ang construction, there may be significant improvements. ;D

Mga bros,

Ano bang impedance requirements ng DTX - floorstanders? ang spkr imp reqmnts ng receiver ko ay 8-16 ohms. match kay sila kung sakali?-- thnx for any input on this-- ;)

The DTX 9.5 Towers are rated at 6 Ohms. So, basically, not so. But pu-pwede pa rin as long as you don't turn that knob too high as it might get burned. It's like having a small faucet for a big hose. But at a sensitivity of 90dB, di naman sya hard to drive. Still, it would be more ideal to have a speaker that has the same or higher impedance than the amp. Just my 2 cents. ;)

bro arthur- thnks!

question lang bro ulit, if i will connect an 8 ohm speaker in series with the DTX para more or less maging 14 ohms sya, within the specs of my receiver, ok din kaya ang performance nito? thnx again. ;)

Hihina ang volume ng speakers mo, both of them, so I wouldn't recommend it, although pu-pwede din sya. Ano ba ang amp mo? Alam ko kasi ang mga Sakura amps are rated at 8-16 ohms din e, pero ang daming gumagamit ng Sakura-DTX combo, and so far, I haven't heard anybody mention that their amps got burned. So, go ahead, just remember not to overwork that amp by turning it up too high. Of course, you amp would last longer if matched ang impedance. And I'm sure ang engineers na nag-design ng amp na yan nagbibigay din ng allowance. Listen to them na lang, if kahit na midway pa lang ang volume setting mo e, medyo distorted na ang tunog e, baka di nga talaga kaya.  ;)

Guys, tanong lang po... what woud be the effect if I will use a higher wattage amp matching it with lower wattage speaker?  I'm using kasi a sakura amp with 250 w and DTX naman ang gamit kong speaker. DTX is only 145 w. Ano kaya cause nun? Pero pag naka DD mode, wala naman. Siguro nagpaparamdam na yung DTX 9.5B hehe... ;D

The ideal rating for an amp is 20% higher than the max. speaker input rating, so at 145W for the DTX 9.5Towers, 175W amp ang ideal to make sure that neither one hurts the other. But since Sakura amps are usually rated at 8 ohm loads, and the DTX 9.5 Towers are rated at 6 Ohms, medyo you have nothing to fear. My own personal "GUESSTIMATE" formula is this: For the speakers, at 145W/6Ohms=24.16+20%=29W/Ohm to drive it ideally. Sa amp, at 250W/8ohm=31.25W/Ohm. I multiply this by the impedance of the speaker it drives, 31.25W/Ohm x 6 Ohms = 187.5W. So, my personal conclusion is, the DTX 9.5 Towers are like driven by a 187.5Watt amplifier which is a bit higher than the ideal 175W amp it should be driven with. So okay na okay sya. Remember mga bro, ang formulang ito is just my own, I'm not saying it's correct, this is just to give me a bit of an idea with regards to matching amps and speakers with different impedances.  ;D

Now, with regards to your Aiwa speakers, since mas malakas naman talaga in terms of volume and clarity ang DTS encoded audio because of its lesser compression than Dolby Digital, it definitely has an effect on you speakers. Now, the reason why your speakers are cracking is that it can't handle the signal that is fed to it, either because mababa ang power rating ng Aiwa speakers mo or, baka may sira ang woofer/driver cone nya. So, paki-check kung which. Hope i helped. TC. ;)

To buy list ko? Eto: at least 2 pairs ng DTX 9.5 Bookshelves, DTX 4.15 Subwoofer, 34" Sony DRC Wega Surplus TV. In order yan, bro. Libre lang to. Sya rin ang nagbigay ng Yamaha DSP-AX430 ko. Ganyan kami ka-close, hehe. Yeah, she's my ex. ;D ;D ;D
