tma ka bro, ang mahirap lang pag walang adjust-an yung amp mo for bass. minsan nga naiisip ko paano pag bumili ako ng amp na walng adjustment sa bass eh yung speaker ko ang daming lamang bass eh.......paano kaya?
Taming a speaker with plenty of bass:
You can stuff the port (if it has) with socks or crumpled paper or anything so that the cabinet internal air pressure loads the woofer compliance.
You can put the speaker on a pedestal to raise it above the floor thereby reducing bass reinforcement. The higher the least perceived bass.
You can move the speaker farther away from corners or walls again reducing bass reinforcement. The farther away the least bass perceived.
You can tweak the crossover inside with series resistors to divide the LF voltage going into the woofer (sort of putting a variable L-pad or potentiometer along the LF path)
You can teak the crossover to have a lower crossover frequency (assuming the tweet can hack the lower crossover point) thereby decreasing the woofer's operating range.
You can change the long-throw woofer with a stiffer cone or one with lower efficiency.
You can mass-load the speaker cabinet to increase its resonant frequency.
You can treat the room with bass traps if you notice bass peaking.
You can insert an equalzier along the LF path to tame LF peaking (but not boost perceived cancellation)
