sirs, di pa daw updated prices nung mga shops sa raon like Knight and Moses but according to the Raon Dai-Ichi showroom, they were already informed/aware about the new prices.  But even the Raon Dai-ichi doesn't have the prices for the euros and sumusunod lang daw sila sa prices na ibinibigay sa megamall.  When I went there this morning may nagtatanong nga ng prices ng euros, fortunately i brought the prices given to me by the megamall people.  Wait lang siguro tayo for the dealers to sell them at the lowered prices.

thanks.

But I'm pretty sure these are good speakers and maybe even better than the 9.5s. The DTX 9.5 has just had too much success for it's price kaya di gaanong sumikat ang euros. But at the present prices? I'm certain, dudumugin na naman ito. The only thing I don't like about the euros? Di biwireable.
Bro dvh,
I'd still go for the DTX 4 series, since the euros subs are bandpass subs, so less accurate sya but powerful. Just me. ;D

Don't worry bro, as I've seen sa specs, the 9.5Bs would perform better than the euros 8 bookshelf, what I like about the euros are the towers and the center. Just me.  ;D

It's available on their website: www.daiichi.ph, but I'm not so sure if everything's accurate, kasi the euros 6 has a freq. response of 20Hz~20KHz, which is better than the euros 8? Just wondering.  ;D

bro Arthur, thanks for the daiichi site--  ;D bakit naman puro 6ohms lang ang impedance ng mga euros, di compatible sa AVR ko--  >:( . Good that the PL is 8 ohms...However is the PL series comparable with the Euros 8? thnks

At a price difference of about 300 pesos? I think it would be best to buy the euros 8. Everybody who has auditioned both seem to prefer the 8. That's why it makes me wonder about the specs of both the 6 and the 8 on the site? Anybody wanna call daiichi and confirm the specs? Thanks, nasa bacolod kasi ako e. He he.  ;)

I think the PLs are very comparable with the euros, since they seem to have similar drivers, except that, to my knowledge, the PLs are 2-way while the euros are 3-way. I don't think there's much to worry regarding the 6 ohm rating if your amp is rated at 8 ohms, unless it was 4 ohms or worse, if your amp has a 16 ohm rating. A lot of pinoyDVDers here have the Sakura-DTX combo, and they didn't seem to have any problem with that. The Sakura is rated at 8 ohms and the DTXs are rated at 6 ohms.  ;)

Maybe bro arthur you're right-- :) ang problema kasi wala man lang indication if this is NOMINAL impedance or what, other speaker brands like the wharfs indicate this i supposed...but anyway taking the case of dtx and sakura, i think this is not a big issue-- ;D

err...wharfe 8,9 series have a 6 ohm nominal impedance... ;) but can be used to any 8 Ohm amplifier....mukhang same logic for the euro's but just the same better to audition (kung pwede)..  ;)

wharfes spkrs kasi indicate it that though their speakers are in 6 ohms, it is compatible with 8 ohms amps, while these Euros do not-- ::)

the way i understand, yes our 8-16 amps can drive them but once we go louder, and of course we do this once in a while depending on our mood, our amp gets hotter than when it is driving an 8 ohms load.

Wharfe Diamonds are also 6-ohm speakers.

I'd strongly suggest you limit your choice to 8-ohm speakers.  It's one thing for a receiver or amp to recommend 8-ohm speakers.  Many can drive 6-ohm loads without a problem.  It's entirely another if it explicitly recommends 8-16 ohms speakers.  I would interpret that to mean it can go higher but not lower than 8.   So easy to fry an egg on top of it if you did.   ;D

I have the asw10dr, very similar sila, 5Hz~200Hz, dual 10 inch woofers arranged in an isobaric configuration, very powerful and flexible as can be used for both HT and Music. Difference is the HE has a remote and a slightly larger enclosure.

That's a good price already, bro. Although, as I always suggest, tawaran mo pa. This is one of the very early powered subs from Daiichi. Great performance at its price. I sold one of my 10DRs to a friend and he just loves it. It's a very good sub for entry level set ups. Very versatile because of the wide frequency response range. Di ka naman magsisisi. Bandpass enclosures are those that have the driver inside the enclosure itself, there's a 4th order bandpass and a 6th order bandpass, this sub is a 4th order sub, having the one side of the driver sealed and the other ported. Isobaric, meaning the drivers are arranged facing each other and working in unison at opposite phases, "push-pull type" in layman's terms. 6th orders have both sides of the enclosure ported, like the Bose bass modules. The disadvantage of band pass enclosures are they tend to have inaccurate bass response, as the name implies, it allows only a certain "band" to "pass" through it, and muffles others, it tends to resonate a limited frequency range. The driver may be reproducing a certain frequency but the enclosure design translates it to the enclosure's resonant frequency. But this results to a very, very powerful sound. There are front firing types, some are sealed, some are ported. Front firing types are those that have the driver's front exposed to the listening environment. This seems to produce more accurate bass since the frequency reproduced by the driver itself is heard in the listening environment. Sealed types have a very tight sounding bass since the enclosure aids in the driver's cone movement, I think this is called acoustic suspension. These types have a very high power handling capacity, Ported types are more powerful sound than sealed types, on the assumption that they are driven by the same power, since the driver has more freedom to move and therefore results in a more powerful sound. But it's easy to blow drivers with this type of enclosure. This is just my little understanding of things, I'm not saying it's absolute. I think it would also be great if you did a little research on the web about speaker enclosures. Just trying to help, sorry kung medyo mahaba. Ingat.
