I bought it in raon to be used as my surround sa bedroom set up kasi tamad na ko maghanap ng stands if i will get a bookshelf e.

Well for the sound, ok na sya given the price i paid for it. Medyo anemic lang sa bass for my taste pag ginagamit ko sya for audio. Hindi pa nga complete yung break in nung DTX ko up to now eh. Kasi that time sandali lang nagamit as surrounds then pag nag play lang ako ng music minsan ksi kinukumpara ko sya sa ibang floorstanders ko then umalis ulit ako and tinangal na yung connection at nakacover na lang sya. Pero May potential yung speakers na ito. Last September naman ng bumalik ako (OFW lang po ako) yun medyo tinanggal ko kulambo nya at ginamit ko ulit sa audio driven by a circa 80's Sony Power amp and a tube pre-amp. Naaaliw din naman ako sa sound nya.

Yung bad trip ako dun sa US Audio na binili ko last year din 512 mark II yata yung model. I was able to used it only for 6 movies in a span of two weeks.

If you are serious in this hobby...... Buy the best Front and center speakers that you can afford.

Invest on a good subwoofer for that slam and bang.

Been testing my 'new' setup mostly in music pa lang.  Had the time to test how it will handle movies... and I came up with this Qs:
  • May napapansin akong parang distortion dun sa movie while playing the DVD.  Sa tingin ko ay because of the interference of either the speaker or the AVR.  How can I eliminate that?
  • While playing DVD in AC-3 mode, pag pinapaltan ko volume ng AVR ko.. I hear this popping (or clicking) sound.  Is this normal?  Wala kasi pag DVD mode ako eh.

My setup: Sakura AVR-387a, Euros 8 towers, <no center speaker>, speakers from Sony mini-compo as rears, DTX 4.12 subwoofer, Kebao DVD player, generic speaker wires, genereic RCA inter-connects

Thanks in advance!!!

Sa ground floor lang ng showroom nila sa raon, by the way sila lang ang nag bebenta ng Euros 8 and pag nag inquire ka rin naman sa dai-chi raon dun ka rin nila i-direct dahil hindi nag bebenta directly ang showroom nila. you can negotiate for the price there.

here, I got this center speaker for 2,1T studio acoutic euros 8 (black).

I think if im not mistaken nasa 7-8T ang price nung towers. naka setup price sila dati 18T for the whole euros 8 (2towers,2surrounds,1center and 1 active sub), I just dont know kung existing pa ung price package na ito.

I think you have to provide a DIY base shelf wala kasing pivoting holes ang Euros 8...

I have 3 pairs of Euros 8 bookshelfs mounted on my walls. I found brackets of several designs, most of them requiring screws to be attached to the speaker box costing around 500 to 600 pesos a pair, but I did not wanna put screws on my speaker boxes so I opted for a bracket that pinched the bottom of my speakers, that way, walang damage ang speaker boxes. It cost me 950 pesos a pair here in Bacolod. I'm sure marami nyan dyan sa Manila. I found one at the Listening Room (I think) at Megamall. Best to look for it at Raon. May swivel sya at both the horizontal and vertical axes.  ;D

Yup, Ive seen one of these type of brackets sa true value and ace hardware. forgot the brand though (perfect view yata yun!) and most those brackets doesnt require screwing the box, but instead cleverly holding the box by parallel bars... and the one I saw had several types for each application, for small to large speakers boxes and also for TV and DVD player wall mounting brackets

And oh by the way they also have metal speaker stands ...

Yup. Sa ilalim meron syang adjustable na parang iniipint nya yung ilalim ng speaker from the front and back. So no damage sa box. Although it has a screw at back to secure the box to the bracket, I use 5 centavo coins as washers to distribute the pressure and protect the box from damage. I also ground the pointed screw tips and made it a bit rounder.  ;D

Just a piece of info on dai-chi speakers...

Most locally assembled cars here use dai-ichi as their OEM speakers.    Local distributors of Car Audio Head Units (Pioneer, Alpine, Kenwood, Fujitsu-10, Clarion) just go to Dai-ichi to have "custom-built" car speakers manufactured.   Since its really much cheaper than their own speakers which they have to import from thailand, malaysia or japan.

Question lang regarding the Daichi Euros 8:

1) What's the best amp to pair this with?
2) Are these speakers considered as bright or warm? Or sa receiver/amp lang yun naga-apply?
3) Meron akong nabasa dito regarding the Euros 8 and "Studio Acoustics".
4) Meron bang news regarding a sale for Euros 8. Pa-share naman.

Thanks a lot sa lahat ng answers nyo.  ;D

1.) With regards to what amp, it may be highly preferential. I use with it a Yamaha RX-V650.
2.) I'd say sweet. Di naman sya bright kasi e, but it ain't warm, also so, I'd say sweet.
3.) Studio Acoustics is the brand name. The model name is Euros 8. Still manufactured by Daiichi, of course.
4.) I recently heard there is, but try calling Daiichi Megamall or Raon, or dealers. Here's the site: www.daiichi.ph

Happy hunting!  ;D

Is it ok to use Euros8 bookshelves as surrounds?  I have Wharfedale 9.1 for front and 9 CS for center.  Parang gusto kong i-try yung Euros 8.  Match kaya sila???   My avr is Yamaha 650 and usaudio 512 for the sub.  Surrounds na lang talaga ang kulang for that true HT experience!!!   :)

I have a Sakura 387 and its fronts are 250W x 2. It is safe to use this amp for the Euros 8 right? No moolah yet for a branded receiver eh. Thanks!
