Seems like CSI is on its way to jumping the shark since another characterpossibly won't return for the next season. That's two for a single season (I think Sara Sidle left at the onset of Season 8 ).

Warrick was shot and killed (?) by the undersheriff, who turns out to be someone working for the mob or something.

hmmm... considering that person's status in the gossip columns about recent arrests, substance abuse, etc., I wasn't really surprised why they'd get rid of the character in the show as well.

had a gut feeling it was going to be this character, with the way things have been going with the current storyline.

Sino kaya papalit nila? Considering they lost 2 of the original characters.
There was a girl (indian-looking) before Sarah left CSI LV, but she only appeared before the strike.
There were some rumors that Hodges will be moving out of the lab.
Sad for CSI LV...they were the ones who started it all and one by one they are leaving.

the new season of csi:new york (s4?) starts on june 10, 10pm at axn. the problem is lost s4 is also starting on the same time and date at the other axn channel. dang. means i gotta wait til sunday to see this.

Fishburne's being wooed to replace Petersen. The new character is a doctor/scientist and outsider type. He is supposed to have the genetic profile of a serial killer but has not acted on those impulses... yet.

Other actors being considered are John Malkovich and Kurt Russel. My vote's on Malkovich.

he was not replaced. he actually resigned and said would give more attention to his other love--theater. he'll be the shows producer though and would be involved behind the scenes. it's been said he'll still be making appearances once in a while.

personally though, the void left by mr. petersen (a.k.a. dr. gil grissom) is something that is very hard to fill up. add to this the departure of warrick brown.

i hope it would not result to a series fold up. i think the remaining cast can hold their own.

I think it'd be fun to have Malkovich. Galing sobra. And he probably won't quibble if he has to crossover to NY

Was able to catch the Season 9 premiere of C.S.I. earlier tonight ("For Warrick"). Superb episode, showing the C.S.I. team united (including Jorja Fox, who guest stars) in hunting down Warrick's killer. Grissom's eulogy for Warrick was very moving at the end. :'(

It's not the same cast but the sriting is still good. Fishburn is making a good impact as a new member of the cast.

One of the BEST episode by far..!
