Oo bro. Sinukat ko sa stereophile test cd..nasa 45hz.bass niya. Kso di kaya ng 6bm8 set ko. 87db 15w kasi. Pero pg 5 watter up tube amp, kakanta na ito ng maayos. May something sa hi mid ng 3" that makes me say na parang mas natural details niya sa hi mid section. Bass as iv said, ,45hz -48hz probably.. ksi
sa 40hz may tunog pa siya lumabas pero di ganun kalakas sa 50hz.

Finally got my 6.5 ANs eventhough it's smaller than the usual it still packs a punch! Thanks sir mon!

Apologies for the bad lighting.. forgot to turn on the halogens at the back.. hehe

Hahaha. Nice one sir, fine dining indeed! Kuha ka na ng SA-36A pro kahit 24/7 bukas yan tipid pa din sa kuryente.. haha

Same ang observation ko sa 4.5" speakers ko. Mids to highs are smoother than my 6.5". Smaller drivers tend to have extended highs and do not have the response anomaly created by whizzers of larger drivers. The result is an accurate and fuller sounding mids and a room that is very airy.

I didn't want the highs to be compromised by a box that extends the bass. Instead I used a 5 liter box tuned to 100hz. Then I used a 10" sub to complement the upper bass and lows.

I must note though that these Monreq-Camotecue collaboration has resulted in excellent looking speakers. Furniture grade wood work. Congrats.

Actually the reason why tweeters are small compared to midrange and woofers. The frequency response of the smaller drivers favors the highs because its dispersion is better at high frequencies compared to bigger drivers.

Audio is about compromises and one picks his own poison. There are those who want a simpler set-up,i.e. one driver and one amplifier with no xover. Happy na sila dito. There are others who go the multi-way route using multiple drivers using xovers (passive or active) because they feel this conveys music much better. There is no perfect solution. I myself favor the multi-way route.

For me and others who did the same, using AN 6.5" up with the right box such as DBR, BR, esp.TL and TQWT, are the ideal box designs for AN. Never over damp it. From top to bottom freq.using smsl pro as the cheapest amp that can be use with AN in critical listening, not to forget a well designed DAC, you'll never need a subwoofer.

You just have to wait for it to break in ..200hours. Kung sa movie, subz is good. AN is not bass shy pag tama ang FS cabinet.

I'm currently using a jamo 650 sub with my AN super 8. Ok naman blending nya i set my cuttoff sa 80 lang. Paired it with the odac at smsl sa pro at amx minima. Stress releiver talaga

Had anybody tried to use their AN in movies connected to HT receiver? anong kinalabasan? i dont have a HT set up yet but planning to go that route with AN, only a bit hesitant on how the AN can handle the sound dynamics coming from movies.

Have not tried it. But as long as the lower frequencies, say 80hz below, is directed to a sub, I think AN can handle it. What's the power handling ba monreq? Better audition with someone who uses a receiver to run their ANs.

^we have tried the AN on a Dynaco ST 70, that's 35 watts per channel, an Audioromy FU29, 40wpc, kinaya naman ng nirvana....

I don't see why there will be an issue with movies. These boxes have natural roll offs. These speakers have low excursion and are quick. The only prerequisite is to provide adequate power and correct speaker placement.
