had a chance to attend the dampalit sound set-up shootout contest with a fellow PDVD member yesterday. It was a very good and fulfilling experience seeing and hearing those monstrous set up.Also had a chance to visit and hear the works of one of the legend of DIY also in malabon and I may say that his works are very good, not just good looking it also sounds great! I can't believe when he said that he used locally made woofers for his diy speakers and he also mounted a cement (rock) cone to the midrange and tweeter to make it sound more natural. Very good sounding speakers. The sad thing is he does not market his works anymore...

+1000. Human voice comes only from one place - the mouth. Natural sounding speakers comes only from one woofer with good quality voice coil and magnet that can create a more natural sound that covers frequencies from top to bottom. People who doesn't achieved a very good hi mid and low freq has a problem with speaker cabinet design or built. Make sure AN owners have either 2.8MK2 or 5.6 MK2 speaker cab design for better results. Also, never judge AN if not yet 200 hours broken in.

Simple Set up:

AN Standard 8 in 2.8 mK2 cabinet + SMSL SA 36A + Tera Dak NOS DAC + Laptop = Natural Music with very good HF extension+ Mid + Subz like low freq.

You try it first before doubting. If somebody want to hear what I am saying and wants an AB comparison, I am willing to be invited by somebody who can sponsor a set up for AB speaker comparison. I am only available on weekends and nearby places such as Las Pinas, Alabang and Bacoor or Imus Cavite.

Highly recommended cabinet design with superb SQ if followed properly.
The 2.8 (2.8 cubic feet or 80 liters) comes in two versions. The MkII has a thin front baffle, but is deeper. The "Big Port" version offers more mid bass at the expense of some low bass output. We generally recommend the "Big Port" version for most customers.

The 5.6 or 5.6 MkII (5.6 cubic feet or 160 liters) offer more bass and dynamics, in a cabinet that is not too large for most rooms. The MkII is narrower and deeper, but will not accept the 15 inch speaker.

ok din SQ ng royal copenhagen, napansin ko lang medyo kailangan nya ng magandang placement di gaya ng AN hindi maselan kahit dikit na sa wall ok lang. Over all it was a good session both have their own sound signature in both tube amps and dac's we used. Very engaging and satisfying di namin namalayan ang oras he he! The art looks "unique" sir monreq.
