Hello pdvd!

I'm currently just got into the HT hobby and would like to hear your recommendations for an AV Reciever and Speaker set that would fit my needs.

HT set would be mainly used for watching movies with the occasional games and music.

For the AV Reciever, I would like to have an option for upgrade in case that I will be moving my HT set to the living room.

Bedroom is roughly <18sqm.

Open for any suggestions. Kung sa tingin niyo na overkill ang compo system sa liit ng kwarto ko and would be suitable for other ht systems like soundbar or HTiBs, your inputs will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks pdvd! :)

Also you might want to check the Amplifier and Speaker section of the forum. You'll get a lot of information in  there..

you forgot to mention your source.
choosing for set-ups particularly for ht
use in most cases base on the source played.
magbabgo rin ang meaning ng entry level depende sa type of media

For source, all I have is a PS3 and a Laptop, so I suppose I need a reciever that would be compatible with both. Also, super nood kasi. :D, is it advisable to have the audio source also from the TV? I have kasi this bad habit of relying too much on the built in media player of the tv set, so might as well count the tv set also as a source. Haha. Ang concern ko lang is, walang bang loss of signal or degradation man lang? Thanks again!

Ps. Nakakapag basa basa na din ako sa amplifiers / speakers section, though medyo limited lang yung online time ko, medyo hindi ko pa din fully understood yung mechanics at requirements ng isang HT system, pero I'm on my way there! :D

To add pala, siguro I'm working on a budget of more or less 25k. I'm also open to buy the gears in stages, ganito yung plan kong route from what I have read so far,

AV reciever>pair of floor standing speakers>(either sub or center? Not decided yet)

I'm currently looking at this onkyo TX-SR309, what made me interested is the connectivity options with the usb input but on the specs aspect of wattage and resistance, I am very much clueless on that yet.

Hello,
I am a newbie.  I am looking for a decent audio-video receiver with a complete speaker system (including sub). My room is 15 square meters and my budget is around 30-40K to set-up my entertainment system.
What in my mind initially are...
> Yamaha VX-371 or VX-471 and mordaunt short speaker pkg combination.
> Onkyo TX-NR414 and wharfdale speaker system combination
Really appreciate any inputs that would fit to my 30-40K budget which can still be a good entertainment package (audio & video) in my 15 sq.mtr room.
Rgds,
