Mounted na! :)

Cove lights. Wish I used LED strips. T5s are too bright.

Oct 29, 2012

First test. :) I didn't install the screen yet because I'm afraid it would get dirty. But look at that image over a dark brown surface. :)

The bulbs are still too bright. I'm waiting for the dimmer to be installed.

2" rockwool on all walls and "superchunk" bass traps at the corners?

Cloth covers can be easily removed?

Sir

Please keep us updated.

Hope you can give some suggestions on doing the room treatment kasi construction of our AV room is currently on-going.

Would really appreciate suggestions on how to proceed with this.

TIA

@gnew. I tried looking for breathable fabric, but unfortunately, wala ako mahanap. But i got advice from a sound engineer. Sabi nya di naman daw kailangan beeathable because sound can permeate any fabric.  I believe him because i saw the recording studio where my wife records her albums, di naman breathable ang fabric nya. And the sound engineer who gave me advice was the one who designed the studio.

Suede type itong nabili ko. No name.

Wow Congrats! The only good thing about the Breathable Fabric is you can HIDE all your surround speakers on the walls to keep everything clean. I suggest to use carpet on the floor since from the picture it seems you have a low ceiling. By the way, what is your ceiling made of? In my experience, I tried everything treated walls and carpet floors but i heard something on the ceiling especially with the BASS so I end up working on the ceiling too.

Ah ... nangopya ka pala. Hehe. Pchin has one of the best rooms.

Pag-aralan mo rin ang doors and windows. The door looks like it won't keep the sound in. You might need a solid door. Lagyan mo pa ng rubber strips ang jamb ng door so that it shuts like a refrigerator. Lagay ka pa ng weather seal sa bottom ng door para wala talagang sisingaw na sound.

I suggest that before you put a carpet, pakinggan mo muna. Then start adding area carpets. Add more as you feel you need more. Area carpets will be more flexible. You can remove some if you don't want the room to sound too dead.

Yes, hollow doors lang, but nilagyan ko na rin ng rockwool inside. Bad trip kasi first reflection point yung door ko. Can't do anything about it because renovation work ito.

At first i thought of treating the ceiling kaso baka over treated na rin because all my side walls are treated na so i just left it as is. Plywood lang yan.

One of my regrets in the design is putting the equipment at the front. I realized that i could have placed them at the side of the room para malinis. But too late because the wirings have been done na. Sayang.

thanks sir javauser.

sir mark, dito nalang ako magtanong. same lang ba ang absorbing coefficient ng carpet tile and a real carpet? big improvement ba in eliminating first reflection ang carpet tile from a granite tile?

I see.

Would appreciate inputs from all the experts here in pdvd.

1. Is it a must to treat all walls?
2. what would be the best way to treat them if so?

Thanks again

Solid door and then get the small rubber strips for jambs. Binili ko sa True value but I'm sure maraming nagtitinda nun.

Sa palagay ko, halos pareho lang carpet tiles vs real carpet. Why don't you use area carpets? More flexible.

Mukha namang wood ang floor mo. It should be okay, in combination with a lot of rockwool at the walls.
