I went to Manila last Sept. to attend our annual Fiesta celebration. I happen to pass by at 5th Ave. Park Square & out of curiousity i went inside to auditon their set up. To compare it w/ my Sony HTIB which comes package w/ the Bravia KLV-32EX300. My God! I was dumbfounded! Then i ask the attendant, i forgot his name, if buy just an AVR, will it match w/ the speaker of my Sony HTIB? He was not sure but it might destroy the AVR. So he offered me the set up of Yamaha RX-V371 & the Mordaunt-Short Carnival Series at 0% interest rate for 1 year. Nag bilang ako for 12 months bali lalabas lang ng 7k+ monthly ko. Kaya yon kinagat ko na. Whew....!

Problema ko naman ngayon papano dadalhin sa Samar....

To make the story short ito na nga.....
Teka paano bang mag post ng picture? Iba ito kesa sa FB. Hehehe....

Sir san ka sa Samar? Taga Catbalogan ako. Pero dito na ako sa Manila nag stay.

Try AP Cargo, i believe the have the lowest rates for shipment via air (c/o cebu pacific). Already shipped a couple of high-end AVRs (double-boxed though) and both were delivered fine.

They cover Metro Manila/Visayas/Mindanao. They can pick-up the package from your place at no extra cost.

not sure how comparable the rates are, IME the package that i shipped to Dumaguete City with chargeable weight of 49.79kg was charged P 1,859.46 (included insurance coverage of up to P50,000), delivered within 2 business days.

pag bulky and heavy cargoes, use South Seas Cargo Forwarder. mas cheaper than AP, LBC, 2GO and others dahil by land ang biyahe. daily yata ang trips nila from manila to samar and leyte.

Mga Sirs need your advice. My floor area is 4x3 meters may sobra sya pero mga 30cm lang on both sides. Could these be an ideal area for 7.1 system? TIA mga sirs.

Pasensya na po d na ako nakapag search. Super bqgal kasi ng internet connection ko dito. Malayo kasi sa kabihasnan.

7.1 surround back or front presence? (yamaha receiver, right?)

if your listening position is against the back wall (relative to where the fronts are,) then surround back option is out.

Sir my present screen s just a 32" but planning to upgrade. Am planning to have sofa bed, so i may at least 3-4' on my back. Balak ko kasi na paabangan nalang ng speaker wire kung ok ito?

surround back is the standard encoded material for 7.1 audio in blu-rays, but some people prefer post processing of front presence (yamaha) or front-wide/front height (audyssey enabled receivers) or ProLogic IIz

it's best if you can experiment first on which one you might prefer before commiting.

in my case though, i preferred surround back in my living room (about 12ft x 11ft).

just a 32" lcd and no plans to upgrade in the near future

(bang for the buck projector setup with acoustically transparent screen is the long term goal though)

@sir Tein, sir ok bang gamitin yung parang egg tray na foam na pinapatong sa higaan as acoustic treatment. Dito kasi ako sa Samar. Iyon lang nakikita ko dito sa Tacloban City na readily available.

Tnx mgq sirs. Medyo may bago sana akong update sa room kaso parang nakakahiyang magpost ng pics baka d tama gawa ko.
Kasi yong foam na higaan na parang lagayan ng itlod yon ang ginawa kong takip do. Sa mga bass traps at sa walling. Hehehe...

pwede, why not. any diffusers will do as long as it will eliminate if not to reduce ung echo ng room mo. a simple bookshelves or wall shelves can act as a diffusers also.
