Simple lang. Yung Proac panay lapit ko sa gear at silip sa likod, wala naman sumisita. very accomodating pa yung kausap ko. Muntik pa sila malugi kasi I asked about the Furutech Alpha Plus IC. Sabi 4k . I asked kung sigurado sya kasi alam ko 11k yun. Sure daw. Sabi ko malulugi ka. Ayun when he checked 11k nga. Haha. Pero may 20 percent discount pa. Mahal pa rin. Lalo la IC lang. Hehe.

Chord din gamit ko from cd to preamp bro but I use Furutechs for the turntable to phonostage to preamp. mas gusto ko kasi talaga tunog ng furutech.

Alin bro? Preamp? Conrad Johnson PV14L-champagne gold. Kaya gusto ko champagne gold na cd player. hehe. pero interesting talaga yung DAC ng Furutech. If wala ako mahanap Marantz CD6004 in champagne gold papatulan ko na yung DAC. Transport na lang current player ko. haha.

Already sold the NAD bros so I guess you already know what I chose. Will do a comprehensive layman's review of the Marantz in the coming days. Note that the NAD is by no means a mediocre CD Player. On the contrary, it can go toe to toe with more expensive players. In fact, when I auditioned the Rega DAC and connected the NAD to it, I did not notice any difference, which I think means that the NAD DAC is already good.

atty question, regarding a tube preamp and solid state power amp. which one influences the sound more, the tube sound or the solid state sound? again, great setup you got there

I really cannot say bro but I'm betting it will be the preamp since it will throw the signal to the power amp. So far, I like the hybrid combination. I had to get an SS amp because the Dyns are power hungry. Going for a Tube power amp with enough juice will not only be very expensive but the heat generated might be too much especially during summer. My tube preamp upon the other hand only has 2 tubes, so no heat. the SS power amp is warm to the touch but not really hot.

I like the bass slam that the SS amp generates but I also like the smooth liquid vocals and highs that the tube preamp provides. At some point, budget permitting, I will look for a similar brand SS amp to match my preamp. I have no complaints so far though.

It will be very difficult to match different brands especially when one is a tube preamp and the other is an SS power amp. I was just lucky that I got the result that I wanted.

Medyo OT but I just want to share this. This is one of the set ups that I truly admire and lusting for. I hope Sheepboy doesn't mind. I haven't heard it but I'm sure it sounds heavenly.

List of gears as requested: Ear 912 Preamp, Ear 890 class A 70 watt per channel Power Amp, Olive 06, Feickert Blackbird Turntable, Voodoo Stradivarius Cremona Cables, Dynaudio C1 Mk2 Signature Mocca Speakers. I would like to thank the advice for ventilation or even moving the amp out from the bottom part of the table. I will try try to post some better shots and most specially when renovation will be done by april 2013.

Thanks for sharing Atty. I think this is a very cost-effective solution for bringing out that quality tube sound without spending too much on really expensive tube monoblocks with the same power. Glad that combination worked perfectly well
