walang basagan ng trip..;D....

kung saan ka masaya, go for it...;D...

i am merely pointing out all possible sides to this....

in this hobby, some details are oftentimes left out....maybe because the proponents themselves are not in the know........i would like to give readers a chance to see the bigger picture and then decide....an informed decision is the best imho....
dre, kamusta my long lost friend sa wakas mag kikita tayo muli....in connection to power cables ala pa dito line conditioner...another gastos hehehehe

I am more concerned about the suman! I love the suman with fresh and ripe mangos!

I miss our Budol Fight at my cousin's house there at Villa Angela... the sugpo, the burong kanin with fish, the original sisig and chicharon with laman... oh the cholesterol!!!

hhmmm... pwedeng magpalambot ng buto-buto or bulalo using that sir... or laman loob for papaitan... whew!

Nakow. Meron Tamales sa Malolos. Alam ata ni Tirso ang bilihan. Sa Santa Isabel. May burong mangga din dun. Na-miss ko din bigla yun sisig sa may school sa Pampanga!!!!

Naku tukayo, i lived in Malolos formore than 6 years kaya sawa ako sa lutong bahay.

I wonder how nakakapasa ito sa standard? Baka they submit the wire as #16 for inspection, then market it as #14.

Aside from opening up a power chord, is there a way to test one to determine if adequate wire thickness or gage is provided?

meron naman....but you will need a miicro-ohmeter to measure the resistance of the cable, and then looking at the wire table, we can definitely say.... ;)

links to the micro-ohmeter.....http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ohmmeter

Mil Spec, there are equipment like X-Ray machine we use for the industry, XRF machine to check the purity and composition of the connectors plating. And some accelerated Test machine like salt spray test and Thermal shock  oven (This is to ensure the quality of plating/materials which secure connections and quality of insulators in less time, without waiting for10-20 years).Insulator test etch....Hehehe, we don't need this overkill equipment which makes the price of connectors cost like an space shuttle parts.
That is why DIY rules if we want t make sure of what we call QUALITY for this Power connectors.

Last night Pas Boys (Philippine Audio Society) we were at one of the members place auditioning the Vivaldi dcs cd player..along with Jadis pre-amp, Pass XA.5 200 class A and lastly Wilson Audio Alexandria XLF...
To make the long story short hindi na yun cd player ang naging center of discussion kundi power cords...we were comparing Kubala/Cubala and the reference transparent cords...well both are good/great but the majority chose the transparent reference. for me just like what I said para kang bumili ulit the system the difference is night and day...the imaging, sq, sound stage, and musicality was beyond our expectation, the imaging was so full, detailed and with weight...good luck na lang sa friend namin if papalita nya lahat ng power cords...he's going to need 8 pcs. with a price tag of php 100,00 each cord hahahahaha >:D >:D >:D

Kung yung size nung branded power cord ay mas makapal pa kesa sa size nung kadalasang ginagamit ng mga outlet, sayang ang power cord.  Normally, those that use these branded/exotic cords have a dedicated power line, totally separated from the conventional outlets.

I guess when people make something someone cannot replicate or not capable would have to either be impressed or would try to disregard the idea. Only depends how you keep an open or close mind.... ;)
as technology moves, the way of thinking should try to follow or be left behind. there are lots of tools nowadays that were even beyond comprehension a decade ago....

they are pointing out that their power cables can deliver 200 amps (44,000 watts at 220 volts) within 15 microseconds, twice the speed of what other cables can.

ang tanong, can the typical house wiring match that ampacity and speed?  ;D ;D ;D

There is always you to tell us that they are not true.... But then again you can always tell us what you think, who is there to tell us that what you say is correct?
At least they have a company to back their claims....
