Kasi, last weekend, i went to ansons and auditioned the samsung 40eh5000 and the salesman said na gumagana lang ang 120hz if you are using hdmi and not the built in media player of the tv via usb, can someone verify this? Ty

EH5000 - no motion interpolation.

LS5700 - has motion interpolation in all modes EXCEPT Game mode.

I bought my LG 42LS5700 about a month ago and I can say that the unit is really very commendable.

Prior to buying the TV, I've done my research and comparisons bago ko magdecide na bilin yun.

Compared to EH5300, it has more HDMI, and USB ports.

The added bonus of its Smart TV feature is may installed iWanTv na xa.

You can watch the recent TV shows without registering.

One drawback of the LS5700 is Optical Audio out lang ang option mo para maconnect mo xa external speakers. Yung amplifier kasi namin puro analog in lang yung pwede.

I always watch my movies on my external drive, minsan kulang ang experience pag walang bass ung pinapanood mo kaya kinakabit ko nalang xa sa blu-ray player ko n nakakabit sa amplifier.

Aside from that, overall this unit is highly recommended.

Mura na xa for the features and very good PQ of the TV. :)

For the 32LS5700, kaya na ba ng mag play ng DTS encoded videos or other formats like MP4s, etc.?

Mga amo, Full HD ba talaga yung 32LS5700? Nagtanong ako sa isang appliance center, they said otherwise. Thanks

Hi LM5700 owners,

meh, i read that thread on TPC as well. The guy you're referring to is the only hater/major detractor of the LS5700. As in talagang siya lang yung madami negative sinasabi about the TV. I gave up on that thread kaya basa basa na lang ako dun.

So don't worry about that. Common talaga na may bleeding pag edge lit. Kahit yung saken may slight bleeding but nothing that cannot be tolerated. I'm not really hardcore when it comes to the backlight issue anyway. Basta happy ako sa set ko. :D

Anyway, that tv needs to be feed HD materials. Blu ray is the best choice. If not...pwede na siguro HD movies which are at least 4 to 5 gb in file size.

actually, now that you pointed that out, mukha ngang hindi yun LS5700! Ang kapal ng bezel tsaka medyo curvy yung edges ng bezel ng LS5700. you should point that out in that thread! :D

I finally got my LS5700.  ;D Its just a 32 inch version but I am very happy with my purchase.

I just want to share my experience for those who are looking for owner's review for this TV:

-I am not a pro when it comes to picture quality but i can tell that the picture quality is indeed very good compared to the other TVs that I've looked at the Store.
-Out of the box, the picture settings may not be pleasing for some people but for me it was OK especially when set to Vivid or Cinema.
-It was able to play my downloaded MKV movies (most of them contains AVC for the video and AC-3 for the audio) with no problems.
- Video, Photo, and Music sharing is easy thru DLNA/Smart Share (Just make sure that you have your media shared). It also supports WiDi but i do not have a compatible laptop so cant test this one...
-I dont have a PS3 but I have a Xbox 360, I hooked it up and did not see or notice any ghosting or input lag (if this test matters... I Have tried this in Vivid, Cinema, Game, and intelligent modes).
-Smart TV functions... I have only tried Facebook, YouTube, and the built-in browser. YouTube looks great! The web browser it occasionally crashes on me, but it's not a big deal because I'd prefer browsing the net on my laptop. For the FB app, I think you can only view and Like feeds/comments from it (I am not really in to facebook so i did not bother figuring out the other things this app can do.) For the skype app,  this version does not come with a skype camera so i was not able to test it. but i will try if plug-n-play cameras will work on this TV.
- As for the backlight bleeding, mine does not have it...

get the Samsung full array LED TV. LG TVs have plenty of features and good prices. but are prone to backlight bleeding!  :-\

Hello mga master, I've downloaded and read the user's manual of the LS5700 before purchasing this TV and it has DTS under licenses. I also read from another thread and Sir Vic of SNS confirmed that it does not decode DTS...

I got confused so I checked the mediainfo/properties of the movies I've played via USB which i think has DTS audio format:

Hi @bugzy, i am also planning to get this TV probably this weekend, im also kind a confuse abt this DTS stuff, since most of the HD Movie has this kind of audio format. the best thing to do though is to bring a USB with a HD movie in it and has a DTS audio and play it directly to the LS5700. so where do you planning to get it? kindly PM me sir, planning to buy this bukas. many thanks sir!

I followed sir Quitacet's advice (which is also posted in this thread) and brought a USB HDD with a set of images in solid colors (1920 x1080p) to test dead/stuck pixels, a few high res pictures/wall papers, 10 high res movies (with media properties similar to my previous post). also planning to upgrade it to a 42 inch soon or a LM6200 if budget permits. :)

I am using Mediainfo to check the audio/video properties of the movies that I download. Normally, I just look at the container file type, how many channels, audio and video codecs, and resolution but I have no idea about frame rates and other stuff. I see dun sa properties, it says "DTS" so i assumed na DTS nga ung file... but I am not sure if there are other factors to consider... But so far, I can play my movies straight from my USB HDD (since i don't have a separate media player) and it works great...
