Most blurays I buy are of sci-fi or fantasy movies. Or if the cinematography is really good or there's a certain look to the film that a director applied. I recently got the DVDs for
Source Code and
Jackass 3 on sale at Astro. And I don't need to see a 'frickin bluray of
You've Got Mail, The 40-Year Old Virgin or
Bagets 1 and 2 and
Mano Po.Of course, I can't wait for Himala and Oro to be available on bluray.
Here's my loot from my recent trip to HK. I'm not being a curmudgeon or defending the DVD format in any way but, whether bluray or DVD, it's just a matter of preference
as of now. As always, change the price, you change the preference.
ETA: By the way, the
Empire Records Remix: Special Fan Edition, is
terrible. The original version had better pacing and was better edited.
