Updating LED TV Firmware, necessary?
« on: Feb 17, 2013 at 07:51 PM »
I just purchased a Samsung LED TV 40EH5000. In the Samsung Phil website, it provides as firmware upgrade but I do not know if waht is in my TV is already an upgraded firmaware. How do I know it? Is it also necessary? What advantage would I get from an upgrade?

You should be able to check the version on your set and compare it with what's available from Samsung. Upgrading can allow you to play some movie files not supported by previous versions. However, upgrading can risk your unit to become in-operative. Pero kung under warranty I think it's worth the risk lalo na if it's within the one week replacement window.
