55LA7400, I think. But based on what I've read, ang nadagdag lang na features are:

1. Improved Magic Remote, notably the feature enabling you to switch channels by 'drawing' the number of the channel on the screen using the Magic Remote. Rather gimmicky, if you ask me.

2. Additional widgets on, and streamlined interface of, the LG Smart TV hub; and

3. The ability to record TV programs (on board flash memory, perhaps).

P160K yata ang best price ngayon ng 55LA7400.  I got my 55LM7600 a month and a half ago from SnS for only P89K. Even SM Appliance Store has marked it down already to P85K last time I checked. Personally, unless full array LED lighting na si LA7400 – unlike the LM7600, which is only edge-lit - it might still be more practical for you to get the 2012 variant, kasi parang very minimal naman ang dinagdag sa 2013 model to justify the price tag.
Going 3D, at last! (And I don't care it it's a fad.)

Try mo kay sir Vic of SnS, baka meron pa s'ya. Ini-inventory sale na kasi yung 2012 units weeks before the entry of the 2013 models, kaya swertihan na lang talaga at this point na makakita. You may also try sending an email to voltz5, who sells LG LEDs/plasmas and HT systems covered by LG Phils. warranty on here (and sulit.com.ph, too).

Ang advantage lang kay SnS, may 30-day replacement guarantee.

Boss, anyway i could find out if 42LN5710 has 120hz? Im almost sold into getting this. Just doubtful if this has 120hz since on the website it says 50hz. Thanks in advance!

Native 60hz lang yan for sure. 120hz trumotion refers to its motion interpolation feature. research na lang kung ano difference sa Refresh rate vs. Motion interpolation.

Ang native 120hz ng LG i think starts withtheir LA7400 model

Hi Guys!

Im a new member here. Kindly help me with my dilemma. :(

LG 42LN5710 (2013) vs LG LG 42LS5700 (2012).

I have seen 42LN5710 and nice naman ang PQ for me and mukhang decent naman ang PQ at contrast. I havent seen 42LS5700's PQ pa.

After my research, I found out that LN5710 has 100 motion clarity index and ONLY 50hz of real refresh rate VS LS5700 120 Trumotion and 120hz of real refresh rate.

Note - Many said that MCI which translates to soap opera effect is NOT entirely a nice feature and that mas preferred ang Trumotion.

I am really perplexed right now which among the two is better.

***SNS priced both at 34k. While SNS replied saying the LS5700 is phased out already but didnt directly answered if they still sell the said unit. But with the document they sent me, they still included LS5700 sa pricelist (June 2ndweek) but still with the same price as before (no considerable drop in the price for LS5700).

***Mas better technology ba ang Trumotion against MCI? Can you pls sight if there is a considerable difference between a 50hz panel and a 120hz panel between these two LG units?

***Is it really safe to say that LS5700 has a 120hz panel or just a 60hz panel AND LN5710 has only 50hz panel (with 100hz MCI)? Using the LG US website - the specs for LS5700 says 120hz Trumotion. But LG Singapore states LS5700 has 200MCI and NOT Trumotion. Im using Singapore since mukhang don kumukuha tlga ang Pinas ng angkat rather than prods from US.

***Where am I getting these conversion of refresh rates? Here http://www.rtings.com/info/what-is-the-refresh-rate

***According sa site North America uses 60hz while the rest of the world has 50hz. Does it mean that I really couldnt find midrange priced na LEDtv with 120hz /60hz panel here sa pinas and ONLY 100hz/50hz?

***But I also found this table posted rin d2 sa pinoydvd of the LG 2013 prods that 42LN5710 has 120hz panel. Pero Im confused kc sa LG site di naman sya naka state na tlagang 120hz po sya.

Sorry for the confusion bec I am indeed confused too with all of these numbers and differences in specs.

Parang di naman ata kapani paniwala na MAS angat ang 2012 model na LS5700 against 2013 LN5710 in terms of PQ and panel.

Sana may expert na maka assure na tlagang 42LN5710 (2013) has 120hz then Im good na with it and will place 42LS5700 to rest na. HELP.

Bro, got the 5710 and based on the performance, its quite at par with other 120hz units. From what i have researched it also has 120hz native rate. Google seem to give me diff answers. Some gave me 60hz some 100hz. And i guess its an upgrade from the 5700 if you are basing it with the model number. The things is 2013 models has all the features sans the 3d with the higher end models including the new sexy stand and slim bezels + motion remote control which i think is cool. With regards to refresh rates, IMO 60/120hz refers to NTSC units while 50/100hz are PAL so they are basically the same depending on your region. Like i said if its 120hz or 60hz, its SOE is quite comparable with other 120hz units out there.

That's also my dilemma before, to get an almost same priced Sammy but with better 240hz (120hz native) or this model which has a slightly larger 42" panel. Got the LG and never looked back.

to confirm native refresh rate, connect the tv to a laptop/pc via HDMI and change the monitor settings of the PC to output 120hz refresh rate. If the TV can handle that, native 120 siya. If not, it's a lower refresh rate.

Just to confirm, LN5710 has 60hz native refresh rate. Tested by connecting via PC.

Yup, trumotion is 120hz. I think 60hz native + 60hz software interpolation.
