the thing that bothers me, is that are we really inferior to Americans?
can they be condescending towards us and we are not allowed to reciprocate?
Obviously, the answer to your first question is no.
As far as your second question is concerned, I personally don't get the reciprocating behavior you were suggesting. It would reflect insecurity and an inferiority complex. The best way to show anyone that you're better than them is to actually be better than them. As Matthew 5:39 tells us, "If anyone slaps you on the right cheek, turn to them the other cheek also." Although if it's Kris Aquino, I'd probably slap her all the way to Cabanatuan. From Quiapo.
And honestly, the issue isn't about Americans treating us poorly (which should probably be discussed in the Big Talk forum, not on this fluff thread), but about Kris Aquino's stupidity in conducting an interview at an international film's press junket. Stupidity and poor judgment that she has shown in spades, time and time again. She's clearly a marketing genius, and she did this on purpose, to get the attention she desperately craves, and more endorsement deals as a result. Good or bad, it's still publicity.
