What I think went wrong for OKC:

Only five players scoring.
Not enough player rotation.
Fisher guarding Diaw? Maybe. But Duncan?
Westbrook explosive, both in scoring, stealing and turning the ball over. You can say the game is in his hands. Crazy roller coaster.
No killer instinct for Durant. How can he, Westbrook is there.

What I think went right for SA:

Only one player that played failed to score.
Better rotation than OKC.
Exploited mismatches.
Kept they're composure.
Isolation on Duncan. Unlike OKC, everyone in SA knows who to go to. Mr. Fundamental, always reliable, nothing fancy.

Sana nga bro. Hehe sana 100% si Parker or kahit 80% at least.
Sana nga bro. Hehe sana 100% si Parker or kahit 80% at least.

Yes.  Westbrook needs someone to feed him well. He will always be a threat, as a shooting guard.  So if OKC has a true blue PG, double threat sila Durant and Rus.  But di talaga pwede magsimula ang play kay Westbrook because he has propensity to take ill advised shots.  Such as the "patay ang butiki" shot earlier...

Ako iba ang tingin ko dyan.  Kaya magaling si Westbrook is because he is playing the PG position.  Though he plays more like a 2, his skills and athletic ability are simply a cut above the rest playing PG.  Now switch him to the SG, baka ma-negate what advantages he has over other PGs compared to other SGs.  Westbrooks length and athletic ability is unmatched at PG.  Kaya spectacular yun laro niya.  But at SG, baka equal na lang siya kina Kobe, Wade, Joe Johnson, Klay Thompson, James Harden, etc.  Mas maganda Westbrook stays at point then get or develop a James Harden type at SG who can make plays so Westbrook can roam around the court at PG.

The last time there was a rematch in the NBA Finals (in consecutive years), the Bulls went on to bag a three-peat in 1998 and continued to make lives miserable for the Jazz. In the last Finals rematch prior to that, the Pistons avenged their loss to the Lakers in 1988 and, with homecourt advantage this time around, prevented LA from getting a three-peat in 1989.

Glory or Revenge na naman in this year's Finals rematch. Not a fan of either team, pero tingin ko it'll be a three-peat. :)

* * * * * *

From the Associated Press:

Capsule preview of the Spurs-Heat NBA Finals

A capsule look at the NBA Finals between the San Antonio Spurs and Miami Heat, which begin Thursday night (with playoff stats):

SAN ANTONIO SPURS (62-20, 12-6) vs. MIAMI HEAT (54-28, 12-3)

Starters:

Spurs — C Tim Duncan (16.5 ppg, 8.9 rpg), F Tiago Splitter (7.9 ppg, 6.8 rpg) or Matt Bonner (1.2 ppg, 0.6 rpg), F Kawhi Leonard (13.3 ppg, 6.8 rpg), G Danny Green (9.3 ppg, 3.3 rpg), G Tony Parker (17.2 ppg, 4.9 apg).

Heat — C Chris Bosh (15.2 ppg, 5.7 rpg), F Rashard Lewis (4.0 ppg, 2.2 rpg), F LeBron James (27.1 ppg, 6.8 rpg, 5.0 apg), G Dwyane Wade (18.7 ppg, 4.3 apg), G Mario Chalmers (7.1 ppg, 3.9 apg).

Key reserves:

Spurs — G Manu Ginobili (14.3 ppg, 3.3 rpg, 4.1 apg), F Boris Diaw (10.0 ppg, 3.8 rpg), G Patty Mills (6.5 ppg, 1.4 apg), G Marco Belinelli (5.7 ppg, 2.6 rpg), G Cory Joseph (3.3 ppg, 0.6 apg).

Heat — G Ray Allen (9.1 ppg, 3.5 rpg), F Chris Andersen (6.1 ppg, 6.1 rpg), G Norris Cole (5.1 ppg, 1.8 apg), F Shane Battier (3.1 ppg, 0.8 rpg), F Udonis Haslem (3.0 ppg, 3.1 rpg), G James Jones (3.8 ppg, 0.8 rpg).

Season series: Tied, 1-1. Each team won easily on its home floor, with the Spurs handing the Heat their worst loss of the season in a 111-87 victory March 6. Miami won 113-101 on Jan. 26, a game in which the Spurs played without Leonard, Green and Splitter because of injuries and trailed by as many as 29 points. San Antonio shot 50 percent in both games, though the Heat hit 58 percent of their shots in their victory.

Story line: The first NBA Finals rematch since 1998 features the Heat going for their third straight championship against a San Antonio team that rebounded from last year’s heartbreak to get another shot at them. San Antonio blew a five-point lead in the final half-minute of regulation of Game 6 last year with a chance to clinch, then Miami pulled out Game 7.

Key matchup I: Leonard vs. James. James is the MVP of the last two NBA Finals and had 37 points and 12 rebounds last year in Game 7. Leonard was pretty good, too, with 19 points and 16 rebounds. He’s another year better and forced James into a 6-for-18 shooting night in the Spurs’ regular-season rout, though James’ bigger problem might have been the sleeved jersey he complained about afterward.

Key matchup II: Duncan vs. Bosh. Duncan shot 9 for 13 in each game against Miami this season, scoring 23 points in both. Bosh was just a little bit better, with a pair of 24-point performances, and went 9 for 10 in the Heat victory. The Heat may not need him to be that good, but probably must get something better than his scoreless outing they overcame to win Game 7.

X-factor: Parker’s health. The All-Star point guard missed the second half of Game 6 of the Western Conference finals with left ankle soreness. The Spurs were good enough to beat Oklahoma City without him that night, but it would be tough to defeat Miami four times if Parker is too far from his normal form.

Prediction: Spurs in 7.

Finally we were able to experience Game 6 with a down to the wire finish between OKC and SA.
Result could have gone either way but timely hits by the Spurs, Manu, Boris and Tim plus excellent defensive stop by Leonard on Westbrook and Durant concluded their series.
Breaks of the game.

For the finals between the Heat and Spurs, though my heart stays with the Spurs, I just feel LBJ, Wade and the Heat will never let go the chance for a rare 3peat.
I hope the two teams can thrill us for another 7 games series.
Gee yoU aRe yoU!

Ako I just dislike the whole bunch. I acknowledge Lebron's tremendous skills as a b-ball player pero yung flopping nya, nakakainis. Si Wade, I've long disliked him for his dirty plays. Si Bosh, his face alone makes me dislike him. haha

Pero as much as I hate to admit it, ang lakas lang talaga nila. Kahit Heat in 6 ang prediction ko, gusto ko pa din silang makitang madurog ng Spurs. :D

Same as last year, I'm rooting for the Spurs to win in 6.  I think the Spurs bench is a bit more reliable compared to last year and leonard is an overall better player to match up with LBJ's out of this world talent.  Dwade and Manu will probably exchange flailing arms and legs while Bosh and TD will most probably cancel each other out.  X factor as always will be the Bench and Parker. and for Miami it will be the 3-point shooting.

I want TD to go out with a ring.  The guy came in the league to almost be a rookie MVP, so i think its a fairy tale ending to go out as the Finals MVP this time around. :)

For me, The only team that can Beat the Heat is the Spurs, I never thought that San Antonio can come back after a heartbreaking loss last year  and since day 1 during the regulation period, Spurs was on a mission but as Heat fan LOL .....I say HEAT in 6 or 7 games ....Let's go MAYAMI!
