Actually I agree with you. Lebron is still the best player this half decade. Ang pagkakaintindi ko rin best player sabi kasi......right now.  And this season undeniably, Durant is the best player in the world right now.  But the last 5 years, Lebron pa rin.

For the most part of the season kasi mukhang cruise control lang si Lebron while Durant has his pedal to the metal lalo nung nawala si Westbrick.

Should be a good race for the MVP award this season.

bwahaha natawa ako sa ginawa ni Westbrick. Yung mga teammates nya tumuro sakanya to swing the ball to the other side of the court papunta kay Fisher, I think, but he took the shot himself anyway. Durant didn't even get to touch the ball in that play.

Great performance by Dragic and Gerald Green. I like this Suns team.

Gerald Green - 41 pts, 25pts in the 3rd quarter, surely one of the frontrunners of for Most Improved Player. Sino kaya nagturo ng shooting dito?

Shooting splits
                          2012-13          2013-14
16 ft to <3-pt       .306                .478
3-pt                    .317                .383

Green's been tearing it up from the 3 this season. We all remember him as a crazy high-flyer and he was touted to be a future top-caliber player coming out of high school. Things did not turn out the way it should have but it's great to see him getting another shot at a decent NBA career. :)

Hopefully he continues to work on his game and improve as a player. I remember he didn't even make the cut when he tried out for the Lakers in summer league. hehe

Anyway, watching the LAL-LAC game.

Sabi ni Marv (or si Harlan ba yun?) "It's like an all-star game (no defense)"
Sagot ni Reggie "yeah, only, all the stars are on just one team. It's like the Globetrotters vs the Washington Generals"

Sick dunk by Blake Griffin! Lakers totally destroyed and it's not even the 4th quarter. Hope this losing continues til the end of the season. We need that #1 pick so bad, it's not even funny.

2 records na Lakers.... longest home losing streak and biggest loss in franchise history.  Hindi na nalalayo yun least wins in a season in franchise history.

Sidenote:  Nash daw will be retained next year.  So say goodbye to another max player via free agency even if Gasol doesn't come back.

Ako naman eh nagbibiro lang sa comment ni mattia. si mattia naman nicompare agad. nyahaha

Lebron might flop a lot pero di talaga maitatanggi yung kagalingan nya. Best player in the world talaga.

Technically, you are correct because looking at my premise, I said best player in the world "RIGHT NOW".  So technically tama din si KD.  But then, LBJ has 2 rings and the argument continues...

I think Kupchak has made it clear naman na the target is really the 2015 free agency and not this year. Kevin Love in 2015. Also, kahit naman bumalik si Nash and wala si Gasol, there is still enough cap space to sign 1 max player.  ang total salary ng Lakers for 2014-2015 so far is :

$35,344,228 (pwede pang less $2,143,228 if SwaggyP decides to leave and Marshall is let go)

Salary cap for 2013-2014 is:

$58,679,000

So meron pa talaga space for 1 max contract and then the rest MLE+VET MINIMUM na. But like Mitch Kupchak said, di naman nila uubusin yan so baka mga 1-year rental players na naman isign nila.

Oops...what I actually meant was retaining Nash was a sign that management has all but given up on signing a max free agent so goodbye to signing one.  Read it from here....

Ah I see. But even before Kevin Ding reported that Nash is going to return next year, Kupchak already hinted that they would not splurge this offseason so that alone gave me a hint na di talaga nila balak magsign ng max player. Si lolo Kobe pa lang kasi guaranteed until 2015 (oh and Sacre din pala yata) so pwedeng 2014 offseason puro 1year rentals ulit tapos splurge/rebuild in 2015. But definitely, 2014 will most likely be another disappointing season for the Lakers even if they get a top draft pick. Ang panget pa, they traded their 2015 pick to the Suns for Nash.

Nash should just sign with the Heat or maybe the Pacers next season.
Both teams need a facilitator with tremendous experience.
He can be used sparingly during the eliminations then contribute more during the playoffs.
I really like to see him retire with a RING.

I still recall Gary Payton finally winning a RING with the Heat after an unsuccessful stint with the Lakers with Shaq, Karl Malone and PhilJax as coach.
Actually Payton played significantly for the Heat even hitting a clutch basket that determined the result of the game.

He cant do that because he is still under contract with the Lakers next year and hindi naman siya i-waive. So he is stuck with the Lakers.

Nash should consider a buy out of his contract with the rebuilding Lakers since he can't be used heavily due to age and injuries.

Pacers playing poorly despite the acquisition of Turner.
Now all 4 teams Spurs, Thunder, Pacers, Heat have the same 16 loss record.

mukhang hoax nga, pointless na din kasi at this point, mapapagastos nanaman sila. might as well continue the tank job then saka na mag hire ng bago sa off season.

I dont know the terms of Nash's contract but from the Yahoo article that dvd_freak posted, mukhang di pabor sa Lakers kasi spread out into several years yung buyout terms. Mas pabor sa Lakers kung after the 2014-2015 season zero na yung utang nila kay Nash.

I think it's too late for them to catch up and secure the 8th seed in the East.

Kaya pa.  Knicks are only 3.5 games behind the Hawks for the 8th seed with still 18 games to play.  Hawks are on a 6 game losing streak and are 1-9 their last 10 games.

Woke up early to catch the HEAT-BULLS game ....... the BULLS clearly wanted it more, defended hard & rebounded even harder.

However, some home-cooking happened on that Noah shot with 0.9 left on their shotclock in Q4 ....... NBA commentators have always said that when home-cooking (luto) happens, it's in the form of the friendly shotclock in last second scenarios. Noah's jumphook should not have counted.

It's funny that both the PACERS & HEAT are on mini-slumps ...... so the race for the LEASTERN Conference's best overall record is still on.  ;)

Haha yeah, ako nadisappoint. Tanknation is not happy for its long-term outlook BUT for today, I was actually glad na nanalo Lakers especially coz nasa fantasy teams ko si Meeks.

Woke up na end of 3rd quarter and was surprised sa score. Was totally expecting a Lakers collapse and a Durant run. Luckily, the Durant-stopper was at it again. Westbrick threw some bricks from the 3points. That kid is confident, I'll give him that but he is not the guy who should take 3pointers.
