With no Ibaka, no need to wait for game 3 folks. OKCs season ended after today's game. It's like Major league vs little league.

Spurs deserve another shot at the title. I want them to avenge their loss against the Heat last year.

They need someone who can play D, someone who can sacrifice his offense by guarding the best player of the opposing team.. Heat got 2 in wade and James, Pacers has P. George, SPurs has Leonard.. OKC should target players like Butler from Bulls or that guy Chumpert from Knicks..

Go SPurs..

They have that in Thabo & Ibaka.  Ibaka is out and maybe age might be catching up with Thabo.  If they can swing a trade for Asik in exchange for maybe Perkins & Collison, that might be their answer at least at the 5.

ano pang bago dyan kay wade. dumi maglaro nyan.

Wade's reputation (as a dirty player) precedes him.  He had some dirty plays in the past but I guess that hit on PG was really accidental.

OR, he could have mastered the art splendidly.  Parang Jawo.

Anyway, swerte si PG.  He has 3 days to recuperate.

Ibaka is ok, not great but serviceable.. Thebo is overrated besides he play the same position with KD.. for me, they need someone who can contain opposing team's 1 and 2 lalo na westcon has the best guards right now..

Just checked the schedule of the NBA Finals - iniba na nga pala ang format this year. It's going to be 2-2-1-1-1, instead of 2-3-2. Either SAS or OKC would have homecourt advantage, whether it's MIA or IND who advances. The new format could be a big plus for either SAS or OKC.

Regarding the NBA Draft Lottery show yesterday, sikat na si Mallory Edens, daughter of the Bucks' new owner :D

Ibaka?  I would disagree of course.  Ibaka is one of the elite defenders in the league.  If needed Ibaka is quick enough to guard even the PG.  Finished 4th in the DPOY balloting.  He is a two time member of the All Defensive First Team.  So Ibaka is hardly serviceable.  Elite is more like it.

As for Thabo Sefolosha, he is one of the better defensive players in the league and has thrived in the NBA and built his career on defense.  He was a member of the 2010  All-NBA Defensive Second Team.  He mostly plays the 2 position.  He doesn't play the same position as KD.  KD plays the 3 and Thabo plays the 2.

^ we have our own opinion talaga bro.. elite centers for me are noah and howard, m.gasol and nene are borderlines, i dont think he is on the same level na.. thebo has his moments siguro but comparing to real defensive g/sg players like tony allen, butler, rondo, another guard from celtics forgot his name, wade, bryant when healthy, parang ang layo nya.. danny green too.. when the time comes siguro na we expect an okc game to be a low scoring then yes, their defense can be called ok,  kasi despite having the 2 so called good defenders, they still allow 100plus points a game.. just my 2 cents..

I am not naman shooting down your opinion.  But there are aspects of your statement that are inaccurate like Thabo plays the same position as KD.  He does not.  Then you are comparing Ibaka to Howard and Noah.  Ibaka is not a center. Both Howard & Noah are centers.

Thabo is one of the better defenders in the league.  But you are comparing him to elite defenders.  He is a notch below dun sa list mo.  But no question Ibaka is elite while playing the power forward position.  He is not a center though.  But still Ibaka led the league in total blocks compared to Howard at 8th & Noah at 9th.

Giving up more than a hundred points though is not really the lone barometer of a good defensive team.  OKC plays at a faster pace so you would really expect a high scoring game.  Depende kasi sa pace and number of possessions in the game.  OKC is 7th in team defensive efficiency, 3rd in Team Opponent Average Scoring Margin & 7th in Team Opponent Floor %.

i saw him play center kaya i compared him kila howard, but even sa pf, elites are griffin, dirk, duncan, randolph, love,.. i maybe wrong on thebo becauae he looks f at his height,he is too long un ang advantage nya but walang swag, you know waht i mean, ung nakikita natin sa mga elite defenders.. thats why i still see him as overrated..

Medyo nalalayo ka na si Ibaka for you is a serviceable defender.  :D. You are comparing him na on the category of being an elite, all star, all NBA player.  Dirk, Randolph, Griffin are certainly not elite defenders by a long shot.  Love?  He's a poor defender as a PF. Si Duncan lang yata yun masasabi mo na he used to be an elite defender at the 4 spot.  But still at his age capable pa rin but no longer elite.

my bad, kala ko overall player. blocks yeah i agree, he tries to block every shot which eventually could hurt him, nobdy wants that.. but overall defense, i still prefer the pf from bulls,  ibaka maybe elite pero walang angas.. they look soft against other elite teams..

For me, OKC needs a true PG. Westbrook is not a point guard.  I think he is more of a shooting guard.  OKC needs someone to distribute the ball properly, get the ball to his teammates, and get the best shot for each situation.  OKC should let Westbrook be a pure shooting guard and let him do what he does best:  Attack from the wing after some ball movement.  Don't get me wrong.  As I said, I like Westbrook.  I like his alpha male ego.   Teams need players like that.  But for OKC to win, Durant needs to get the ball more than Russ.  An elite point guard can do that.

I turned off the TV late in the 3rd quarter to get some sleep. In a way, okay rin kasi nakatulog ng maaga. :)

The best OKC can hope for is to at least extend the series. Paabutin man lang ng 5 or 6 games.

This series just highlighted how smart the management team of OKC is.  They gave up harden to be able to keep Serge.  They traded Harden and showed they are still an elite team, they lose Ibaka to injury and suddenly are not even in the same area code as SAS...I actually doubt if this OKC team can win against any other playoff team in the west without Serge.

OKC was to stay away from luxury tax territory, as mandated by ownership - and GM Sam Presti chose well by picking Ibaka over Harden.

Also, its not as if Presti didn't have any back-up plans for the void left by Harden at SG ...... Lamb was brought over from the Harden trade and OKC drafted a sleeper in Reggie Jackson.

Ibaka is an elite defender and has steadily improved his scoring range each season ...... losing him to injuries is a back-breaker to OKC.

They have to play lights-out basketball from now on, to beat the SPURS.

A lot of sleepless nights ahead for Scott Brooks & the rest of the Thunder.

I agree with mattia, Westbrook is more of a two guard. Maybe Fisher can start, let him man the point. Thabo Sefolosha can come off the bench. Adams had a good game in the first half today, perhaps he can be inserted in the starting line up and let Collison relieve him or Perkins.

Please lang, i-extend nyo naman ang western conference finals :(

I actually even think even lights out basketball from the 2 stars wont be enough.  Game 1 had KD at almost 30pts and Russ not that far off with very respectable shooting percentages for both.  Nobody else is really capable of scoring significantly save for maybe Butler.  I cant see a win for OKC from any angle without their defensive cornerstone.

Would have been nice for KD to have both his 1st MVP and his 1st ring in the same year.

at this rate, sana nga sweep na lang eh, para mapahinga ang old legs ng SAS in preparation for the finals against IND or MIA.  The east may be a weaker conference but the top 2 in the east are beasts and can more than hold their own against any western team.

Yup, there's no way he can contain Parker. Double teaming won't work either with Green & Leonard there. I just don't want KD's MVP season to end like this.

I don't think they will be able to win this series but they will probably win 2 games. KD and Westbrook will explode in the next couple of games and SAS has a tendency of slacking as well.
