ive been reading a lot of writeups after game4, and still lot of them cant accept the fact that the heat has been schooled by the spurs. a lot says about the fatigue factor, others about the health issues of wade and james. a quite number of them thinks that the sub par performance of the trio led to a 1-3 deficit........hindi kaya bayad din yung media kya kanya kanya sila ng hanap ng lusot to save the ass of the miami heat and more importantly, LBJ?
As a Lakers fan, when I was watching game 4 of Heat v Spurs, I can see signs of the 2010-2011 Lakers which was swept by Dallas in the 2nd round.
Less hungry and motivated (having reached 2008-2010 finals), exhausted. It just felt like they were stuck in mud while Dallas could do no wrong. I was actually expecting a sweep or maybe 4-1 Lakers, but we ended up on the wrong side. Oh well.
That's why it's important to reload with new, young, and hungry players to help out the core. Miami's choices - Beasley, Oden, Douglas-didn't pan out. On the other hand, Spurs were smarting from last year's loss. That, plus Pop's minutes management, plus improvement from Splitter, Kawhi, and Spurs are one of the teams which can withstand Miami's blitzing defense against pick and roll.
Basta ako, I just want the series to end soon, so we can get on with what looks like an interesting off-season. Go Lakers!
