I have an LG E7 since 2018.

A few weeks ago, I received a notification through the inbox of my TV that I am entitled to free replacement of the power board of my TV, which is currently running okay.

Ano ang ibig sabihin ng LG sa notification? Shall I have my power board replaced kahit wala pa naman problema ang unit ko or wait for it to break down? Takot ko kasi na baka magkakaroon ng problema once magalaw ng local technician.

Thank you sa mga sasagot!

I think you should heed  LG's call ( in your case, email :)) to replace your TV's power board. Google search reveals this:

LG to recall some OLED TVs due to overheating issue

Quote
The affected models are: The 2016 models of OLED65E6, OLED65G6, and OLED77G6; the 2017 models of OLED65B7, OLED65C7, OLED65E7, OLED65G7, OLED65W7, OLED77G7, and OLED77W7; for 2018 models, they are OLED65G8, OLED65W8, OLED77C8, and OLED77W8; and the affected 2019 models are OLED65W9, OLED77B9, OLED77C9, and OLED77W9.

My Honda car was recalled a few years ago. It was one of the several thousands of units found to have a potentially defective power window switch which may be a fire hazard. Ang sa akin lang, I'd rather be safe than sorry.

Ngayon ko pa nabasa/nalaman ito. Thank you for this sir, I think I have to coordinate with the authorized service center in our area. Nasa province kasi ako.

Update with my 65E7

Contacted already the local LG service center, in which they also contacted the national distributor for the replacement procedure para gawan ng job order. 1 of the documents needed was the sales invoice of the TV that was bought 3 years ago. It was long misplaced/lost already. Still talking back & forth with them at the moment for other alternative. Sinabihan ko na nga na gagawa na lang ako ng affidavit of loss or demand letter from my lawyer. Kusang pumasok naman ang notification sa TV ko, so meaning, kasama ito sa mga recalled models/units.

Just got a 55CX..Soo satisfied with it's performance....checked the panel on white, green, blue and black slides and everythin is ok..and most importantly running hours @0. Digital and analog tuner is nice, only connected an aerial antenna of TV+ and kuha nya lahat ng available local channel  both digital and analig broadcast.  My only comments is the speaker is suffering sa distortion sa low.frequencies even on  low volume i.e. 33 range.

Where did you buy?

Hi, so how much ang breakdown?  i.e. shipping , unit price.. care to share?

edit: saw in newegg….it's  $1,497...meron pa ba sales tax yan?   plus shipping pa.

Now if I will base the local pricing here via caroussel seller looks like hindi na nalalayo ang prices ng 55" OLED here.  yun nga lang the 48" is not available here.

Update:

Pumayag na din ang LG Philippines to send the power board to the local service center without the sales invoice. They just requested a screenshot of my TV with the notification on display. Dumating na nga ang replacement part a few days later, schedule na lang namin with the technician since sa bahay lang nya gagawin.

Why all the hassles of getting the 48 incher abroad when 55" are available here?

Malaki ba ang price difference after the landed cost ng 48"?

Kahit papaano, the bigger is always better pa din.

Kanya kanyang preference Sir...meron ggamitin solely as a monitor /photo editing or gaming..or 48" lang kasya sa space nila...many reasons. Price actually is very nil ang differrence.

The most important thing is -

Will the local service center honor the warranty of the units bought abroad?

If you have read my earlier posts above, my TV was included on the worldwide recall due to the issue of overheating of the power board and the part was replaced for free even if it was 2017 model. Kudos to LG Philippines!

Cx48 landed yesterday and I'm using it right now , reason for me getting this is for PC use and gaming, and was looking for the smallest size to have a decent PPI pixel per inch because of viewing distance, and coming from a old isp 30inch wow its very huge hahahaha but very emersive , trying to get used to it pa, pero ganda talaga oled kahit mahal na gastos sulit

for the total cost 110k including shipping from US

for warranty i dont think so hope nalang di ma sira agad, pero really wanted to try this one out kaya risk nalang
