I guess you don't watch Alaska-San Mig games. Tim Cone and Luigi Trillo do not like each other. They used to but not anymore. Practice game pa lang, nagsasagutan na yung dalawa. In actual games, pati team governor ng San Mig na si Rene Pardo, nakakasagutan ni Trillo. No chance San Mig will hire Trillo as an assistant. May bad blood eh. Si Luigi rin kasi ang last coach na tumalo kay Cone in a playoff series.

Feeling ko inayawan na ng players ng Alaska si Trillo just like what happened with Joel Banal before. Either napilitan si Uytengsu tanggalin or kusa na lang nag-resign si Trillo. Parang iba kasi yung demeanor ng players nung last game nila vs Global compared to the game kanina vs TNT.

Looks like there is no stopping San Mig Coffee winning the Grand Slam this season.
The team is intact and they have a great import in Blakeley.
No other San Miguel Corp teams will stand in their way so there's only Alaska and TNT and maybe ROS to try stop another Grand Slam by Tim Cone.

kawawa naman si Taha. two years in the league, but he has been into six teams already. with him jumping from one team to another, i don't think he will have the chance to improve anymore. and i also doubt that he will be utilized at SMCM. yancy was traded due to the overload at center position. Taha is a center.

The play here is PURELY exposure both for Kia and Pacman. Pacman will be the coach in paper, but ultimately the assistants like Glen Capacio will call the shots. Yun mga play dyan di kahon na yan -- play 1, play 2, play 3. All designed by the assistant coaches, not Pacman.

What's in it for Kia? Instant exposure. May hatak si Pacman, Sure yan. Whether Pacman is a good or a lousy coach, people will watch.

What's in it for Pacman? More exposure, now that his boxing days may soon be over and his political career will be active again. This will be good for his ambition to be a Senator and higher. Malupit ang mileage pag nasa PBA ka. Pag naging Senator si Pacman, sigurado makikinabang dyan sila Alvarez of Kia. Remember, Kia is a member of the Lina group of Co's. Mga politiko yan

Seems like a tactical move for me for both Kia and Pacman. It's more than basketball, indeed.

Sobrang kawawa yun expansion teams. Hindi na nga sila pinayagan mag direct hire, ang binigay pa sa kanila eh 11 - 13 first round picks. Tingnan mo nga naman.
