From the info given, I think very physical defense and then running game na very dependent on fast breaks ang gagawin ni Pacman.

I know that Alaska does it. Malamang TNT does it din kasi ginagawa yun ng Gilas eh and Air21 din kasi Asi does it.

It will be a shame for any the seasoned PBA coaches to lose a single game to Pacquiao and his KIA team.

Bilog ang bola. May tsamba.

When Luigi Trillo replaced Banal as the coach of Alaska, people questioned the Alaska management's decision. And yet, Trillo won a championship for Alaska. Let's give Pacquiao the chance to prove himself.

As I said, front lang si Pacman dito.  It's gonna be Glenn Capacio and the other assistant coaches who will call the shots here.  May mga designed plays na yan.

It's not whether Pacquiao can win a basketball game ..... this is Comm. Cheato Salud's PBA, where only half of the teams are capable to win consistently and the other half, made up of farm teams.

Also, getting a great import in 2/3 conferences almost guarantees a few wins ..... moreso, against those known farm teams.

The great majority of the rants against Pacquiao, is that he isn't even qualified to coach to begin with AND there are HUNDREDS of other people more qualified to coach than him.

To top it all off, KIA KAMAO pa ang ipapangalan sa team !  ;D

This is obviously a marriage of KIA and Pacquiao milking the PBA for all the media sway it can get, with the actual sport/competition being a distant second to its priorities.

At least ngayon, mas madali na magpa-authograph ke pacquiao.  Manuod ka lang ng game ng Kia.  >:D  Pwede na din sya puppet coach.  Like biboy ravanes.  Ok lang ke Salud yun!

Hndi papayag si Pacquiao.
His status is way above those of his assistant coaches and I'm sure none will dare step on Pacquiao to give him face.
Pacquiao will be calling the shots win or lose and the important thing is that he and his team entertain the crowd.

Only in the Philippines that a public servant still has time to box, coach, act on tv. This is what we get from our government officials. And we tolerate it. What an embarrassing country we have.

NLEX has decided to acquire an existing franchise instead of forming a new team from scratch. They haven't named the team they're buying but I have a feeling it's Alaska.

Namamahalan nga sa 100M franchise fee, and Air21 is being peddled for 200M.

Like Meralco, may captive market ang NLEX.

It's likely, AIR21 ..... Lito "Bugaw" Alvarez has recently confirmed talks between his boss, Bert "Pimp Daddy" Lina and the MVP group.

Besides, AIR21 has always preferred money than running a competitive PBA team e.g. Arwind Santos sold to SMB for P20M.

ALASKA's Uytengsu has already shot down rumors of its sale, while BARAKO BULL belongs to SMCorp (wink-wink) ...... GLOBALPORT is another SMCorp team ...... so, its between ROS and AIR21.

Though, ROS is a possibility, AIR21 would be the most willing seller right now.

Yeah, looks like it's Air21 and not Alaska. They're back in the semis now after booting out Ginebra.

Anyway, sad to see Jason Webb leave the TV panel as he's the most sensible analyst the PBA has right now. Nice to see him finally get a chance to be part of a coaching staff, though. He deserves it and San Mig Coffee will benefit from his hiring.

Eto hanap ni coach Jeff, two-way player who can play defense and give offense.

The reason behind Yeo's good performance is playing time. And he has been playing the point guard position allowing him to handle the ball more. With Ginebra, he would be in a similar position as he was when he was with Petron/San Miguel. He would have less playing time and he would be handling the ball less, that is, if he even gets to touch the ball on offense.

Very true, all players need the proper exposure to develop and polish their game.
They play better and more confident when given lots of playing time.

Talo nanaman ang Petron, I just dont understand why they are not beefing up its frontline. Fajardo needs some support and backup and Petron needs to develop their bench just like San Mig and ROS.

The past few conferences, PETRON already bought este traded for Kramer, Maierhofer & Chua - all from their farm teams BARAKO & GBP.

Those three back-up starters Fajardo & Santos - coincidentally, also via BARAKO/AIR21 sales este trades as well.

PETRON has a very solid frontline core ....... sadyang mahina lang itong si Tim Clone a.k.a. Todd Purves gumamit nang personnel.

Masyadong babad si Fajardo, kaya pagdating sa Q4, medyo pagod na ....... for all his athleticism, hindi pa din magamit nang maayos si Arwind Santos ........ Maierhoffer should be given more playing time - the guy is very effective when given consistent minutes.

I's very obvious San Mig has a deeper bench compared to TNT and this Barrocca seemed to get the better of Castro and Alapag everytime they meet.

MVP was so furious earlier that he left at halftime. Even told his execs that Norman should be fired. The execs are pissed coz Norman doesnt give his young guys minutes. Aban and Baclao specifically.
