Ewan ko lang ah, pero the "technical analyst" doesn't seem to know what he's talking about. Parang nagbabasa lang ng sa passage libro and spouting out the rules.

Pero dun sa particular play that we're talking about, pinanood nya 'yung replay at slomo bago sya nag comment.

Ginagawa kasi nun, sasabihin nya 'yung rule sa libro then 'yung nangyari sa actual play kung ano ang tamang hatol or hatol nya.

looking at the replay although medyo forward talaga yung talon ni ping pero si lee instead of getting a good shot e papunta sya sa katawan ni pingris.lee couldv'e gotten a good shot pero he chose to fish for a foul.if the play was not a last second shot baka tinawagan pa si pingris pero mukhang the refs didn't want to decide the outcome.am not saying na the refs erred or not, just my opinion

At dahil sa comment ng TA, malamang bumingo na sya sa SMC, kagaya ng wish ni SickBoy, malamang matanggal na sya sa PBA, kasi doon sa isa pang play wherein after a missed FT by a RoS player, nakuha ni Ibañes 'yung rebound tapos nagkabungguan sila ni Melton at na out of bounce este na out of bounds si Ibañes with the ball, tapos no call sa ref and the ball went in favor of SMC. Sabi ng TA, okey lang daw na "no call" kung hindi na out of bounds si Ibañes, kaso na out of bounds kaya dapat daw tinawagan ng foul si Melton.  :)

Based on the Youtube link, PING had already landed when Paul Lee leaned forward to make body contact.

I'm sure tatanggalin sya no matter what.

Eh di nga maintindihan to begin with.

With the way Comm. Cheato Salud has flip-flopped about the amount of contact and how flagrant fouls are determined, there's not much use for the TA anyway.

The Zebras on the floor cant get it right because of the bad precedents by Salud - how in the world can the TA give out a clear definition of the rules.

If he cannot get his message across, then all his knowledge and expertise is useless.

lupet ni baby james..

ros/fans should stop blaming the refs, they led 18 pts and biglang nawala.. their import missed 5 consecutive fts in 4q, before making those clutch shots.. fts changed their game..

but i still like ros to win para maiba.. :)

Pabor kasi sa RoS kaya kahit malabo eh pinilit mo intindihin.

Seriously, I am talking about the general public.  You have to have certain skills to get the attention of the viewing public. Otherwise, mag meeting na lang sila ng mga referree before and after the game.

PBA won't stop technical consultant Perry Martinez from commenting on referees calls for TV coverage
http://www.spin.ph/sports/basketball/news/pba-wont-stop-technical-consultant-perry-martinez-from-commenting-on-referees-calls-for-tv-coverage-v02

Quote:

"Asked if Sports5 sought the consent of the PBA to ulitize Martinez for the TV coverage, Marcial nodded.

"I think his role (as referee analyst) will help educate fans on the nuances of officiating," Marcial added. "

the advantage of the TA is that he has the benefit of replay unlike the referees na they have to make the call right there.imo dapat maglagay ng rules that  last second shots should be open for review klad ng ginagawa nila sa loose ball situations

Perry Martinez was the technical director of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) which means he headed the referees and rules and regulations for the games before he retired.
